Shenmue3 is officially coming to NGC!!!

Well maybe not officially but I think it will. I posted this at NintendoNation so don\'t be offended by the cheap shots at other consoles.

A lot of you are probably wondering which platform the Shenmue series will go to. I think GameCube would be the most logical choice.
All of this just popped into my mind about ten minutes ago while i was playing Shenmue so forgive my horrible lack of effort to sound intelligent.

Ok, we all should know that Shenmue 3 will not go to DC IF Shenmue 2 has poor sales on the DC. So that leaves Xbox, PS2, and GameCube.

Will the Xbox get it? Holy ****ing ***** **** no. The Xbox is surely to be a failure in Japan so why would Sega make it for Xbox when they know beforehand that it wouldn\'t have high sales numbers in Japan? What ever isn\'t made in Japan doesn\'t work in Japan( an old Japanese saying).

*Straches ****-box off the list*

Now the fight for this masterpiece is between PS2 and GameCube. Sony will gave a large number of people who own PS2 but that won\'t be enough. There system is hard to develop for and costs a lot of money to make games for so I think Sega would be wise enough to develop this game for GameCube instead.

Lets see, this game pushes rougly around 3-5 mpps and has amazing textures. I think you would all agree that the textures make the game stand out more since there are barely any jaggies in it and we all know what system specializes in textures...(hint, it\'s not the N64)

Now if they develop the game for NGC then they could get TWICE as many more polygons and around 4-8 times better textures! Making it extremely realistic looking! (thats the main reason why they would make Shenmue for NGC IMO. PS2 just isn\'t as powerfull as GameCube, and Sega wants these games to look as realistic as possible).

There are other reason of course- the controller is perfect. The QTAs would be so ****ing simple since they have the exact same letters on the controller and NGC\'s button lay-out is pretty basic. There\'s a button to the right, left, and above the big A button. That\'s all there is to it.

Plus, GameCube is supposingly extremely easy to develop for. The disk space won\'t be a problem either.

In conclusion, I think Shenmue 3 has the best chance of appearing on GameCube. I could be wrong, but I doubt it!  *Opinions wanted*.

Hmm very wishful thinking on your part:D I don\'t see this game ever coming to a nintendo system no time soon unless it is gba(which I doubt) I think sega will put on there games on ps2 first then go from there. I know some games have been rumored in development for xbox, but as for a game like shenmue time will tell what effect it will have on xbox.  I mean who is too say that sega will even make enother shenmue? I mean after shenmue 1,2 being of dc they may not want to put it on another console, but if they do I say it will be ps2 first. I don\'t see them ever making this game for gamecube. Although it is wishful thinking(which nothing is wrong with that)

So what we have all in one neat little package is: It\'s going to GC, It MIGHT go to GC, and then it\'s NOT going to GC. You just had a nice little debate with yourself there Jumpy. Thanks.

Sorry Jumpman, but I stopped reading right when I got to that sentence. :)  You should have put that sentence at the end of your post.  That way, I would have read it.:)

What ever. I could care less if an idiot like you does or doesn\'t read my post. I still remember our past encounter, I also remember that it didn\'t go to well for you.

I wanted this topic deleted.

*shakes head*

Again with the name calling?  Come on Jumpman.  Grow up.  What I said was meant to be a joke.  I guess I didn\'t have enough smilies in my post or something.  Maybe I should have added a couple winks too.

Just so you know, I don\'t think you have posted one post that was directed at me without calling me names.  Please Jumpman, think about what I just said before you post again.

Geeeeeze. You had me excited, as I went and put a pre-order down on the GC. I was on the way home thinking, "Damn not sure why I done that..But it\'d be nice to see Sega games on a Nintendo console." Got here, saw that thread, then found out it was crap. Now I\'m back to thinking "damn, why did I pre-order it?"
...sigh...

You won\'t know whether or not you did the right thing until E3.
It seems as if the people [casual gamers] that we consider to know absolutely nothing are the ones that actually know the most important thing: Name brands don\'t make the console, games do.

Nintendo and Sega have become a lot closer as of yet. Shigeru Miyamoto said that he was there when they developed Seaman and that he is good friends with the games producer. That is just one example of some of the ties between Nintendo and Sega.

Sega has been beaming about Nintendo as of late in just about every interview that they have given. Its a sign IMHO. We will have to wait until E3 to see how close they really are.

Weren\'t you one of the people who called Shenmue a piece of garbage???

Now that there\'s the possibility of this series appearing on Nintendo\'s platform, it\'s now considered a masterpiece???

Why are you even playing such a crappy game???
July 2002: If you had bought $1000.00 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00. Enron, $16.50 left. Worldcom, $5.00 left. If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser beer one year ago, drank it all and turned in the cans for the 10 cent deposit, you would have $214.00. Based on the above, my current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.
