GT3 KILLER (HAHAHAHAHA)

So the so called GT3 killer has been reveiled,it looks ok but not on par with GT3.

ITs shinny like they said it would be.  But a killer by no definition of the word.  I would rather play GT2..

They don\'t understand the following that the GT series have.  ITs not just the shinny graphics that make a game.  ITs the play, the cars, the things you can do in GT...  Like customizing your car..  

I can see my 5 year old nephew saying its a better game, and to him it is.  I guess MS is just going to target the younger people out there.

The only PSX2 GT killer would be GT on the X-baux.  Damn fools..

Heres some more info that i have just read,it is going to have 20 cars(thats it) and 4 tracks,but there will be 300 different routes.

You can not put this game on the same level as GT3,they are saying that the game is photorealistic,if you ask me GT3 is alot more photorealistic.
I think that the game looks cartoony IMO,also there are jaggies in those pictures,look at the backgrounds.

I am not dissing it before people start haveing a go at me,but why do these developers keep saying stupid things,like it will be a GT3 killer,they are two completely different games,if you get what i mean.

I am tired of defending the Xbox, but here it goes.

Those shots were very good. The models were excellent and the rest of the graphics although not on final hardware are pretty good also. To say that this game looks cartoony is one of the most absurd things that I have heard in a long time. That is just bias talking. Tell me what is cartoony about those pics?

About the "jaggies". I won\'t even go there because the same was said about PS2 games and everyone went into hissy fits. It could be anything from a bad capture to a bad picture. The Xbox has FSAA so don\'t throw the PS2\'s arguments at it.

BTW, I have read nowhere that anyone said this game was a GT3 kiler. Many people said that the graphics rivaled GT3\'s though.

Remember I am not an Xbox fanboy. I just like to point out hypocrisy.

the graphics look like a combination of Metropolis and NFS.Nothing special.

Wait and see, those pictures looked better than the first GT2000 shots. Give this game a year and I think that this game will look better than GT3. But it doesnt look as good as WRC 2001

Propably they are trying to do what Polyphony has been doing with GT3.Improving the game slowly.Propabply a move to steal Polyphony\'s thunder.

Look those pics look cartoony compared to GT3 IMO,i am a graphic designer and for me GT3 does look more real,i want good things from Xbox,but i was expecting more,considering how easy it is to develop for(something i always hear),also all the Xbox fan say is,the hardware isnt finshed,it is only 50% of the finshed thing.
And as soon i say something about jaggies you jump on me,every console has some jaggies,and also the PS2 has FSAA,but if a PS2 game is shown and it looks crap,then that is it, the game is crap,not give it a years time a it will look really good,i dont hear people saying it could be a bad capture.
And i do plan on buying a Xbox and a Gamecube and a gameboy advance,so dont start calling me a Sony fanboy,but i am fed up with people bashing the PS2,when people dont even know what the Xbox is going to be like.
And you didnt read my last post properly,because i said that i wasnt dissing the game.These are my opinons,and i can give my opinons,and you can give yours,but dont start dissing my opinons,because that is what i think of the game.

GT3 is not going to be the best racer on the PS2, better games will come. I´m sure that both x-box and NGC will have better games than GT3 sometimes, this is just a ordinary second generation game for the PS2.
This is silly, U cant compare GT3 and WRC2001, a 2:nd agains a 3 gen game. GT3 is for now the best looking racer ever done, but this GT-killer must be better looking than GT3, this games is coming out summer 2002 or something. Dont U think that the game will look better than GT3? Of course it will!!!
But summer 2002 we will compare the game with GT4 and WRC 2002.

Bossieman, what you fail to realize is that for a game to kill GT3 it hasn\'t got to have better graphics but it has to PLAY better, and I can\'t see how you could make a racer play any better than the GT series

So there won\'t be any better racers on PS2 except for the next incarnations of GT

I love defending the X-Box. There are so many flaws to your guys arguments. Of course this should be for Console Debating, but oh well.

I dont think anyone is saying that the car model is bad, actually I see very good things with the car, the really good reflection, but not overly shiny like GT3, pluse I dont see one polygon on the wheel, or otherwise, perfectly rounded. There is just jaggies.

And  the backround issue, well that isnt even the real backrounds, they are the original ones from MSR on DC, the developers just go the dev kits 2 weeks ago and didnt have time to make the real backrouds as nice as they would have liked, so they just used the MSR ones. Which also explains the absence of sky

Also, isn\'t the point of a game gameplay? You can\'t really say anything for or against this title on any account there.

Another thing, you can\'t really compare the two games anyways, since this is an arcade racer and not a simulation.

It is like comparing Daytona to GT.

I have only one thing to say about the graphics of the xbox (so far), as of now, the pics we\'ve seen have this pc look all over it, I said this before and no, I can\'t explain what I mean by that, but untill that is solved, to me the xbox has not good graphics.

to all the people that are going to disagree with me: I am not so stupid as to say the xbox will not have better graphics than ps2, but as of yet xbox fails to impress me even the slightest bit.
