I just got my PS2 and Onimusha. However, my PS2\'s fan is pretty loud.

Is that normal?

I can here mine whine up and purr but its not over powering loud or anything

Depends quite alot on its position, after a few minutes watching a film or playing a game I find I usually forget about it.

well, mine make a whin sound at first when loading games, its kinda high pitch but not to much, just a bit, the you can hear it softly.

It\'s not that loud but it\'s noticeable. There\'s a slight whine or purring.

I guess I was comparing it to my PSX that\'s probably why I was a little paranoid.

Well the fan in your PS2 is quite a bit beefier for obviuos reasons.

Be thankful you can hear the fan running cause if you can\'t then your in trouble

Now that i took mine out of the vertical position it seems louder then before.....  I might put it back how it ways

Mine is pretty quiet.

mine is a very quiet purr.
but when i pick mine up off the table while its running, you cant here it at all (well you can hear it but its not v. loud).

Mine is louder at different times,so i would worry about it,just keep an eye on it,if it gets louder and louder,then take it back,but i really dont think you have got anything to worry about.Just enjoy your PS2 and new game:)

I have used my PS2 so much that I dont hear the fan anymore, just like the ticking of a clock, after awhile you dont hear it.
