"For those of you not in the know, Capcom\'s Resident Evil series is being re-created for the silver screen, and today we\'re glad to present you with the first shot of Milla Jovovich in full RE gear.
Starring Jovovich (Joan of Arc, The Fifth Element) and Michelle Rodriguez (Girlfight), directed by Paul Anderson (Mortal Kombat), and funded by Impact and Constantin Pictures, the Resident Evil Feature film has begun shooting in Berlin, Germany.

While the movie is based on the Resident Evil story, Anderson\'s script makes a slight departure. The story revolves around the same special military unit (S.T.A.R.S.) from RE, but a strange supercomputer, called The Red Queen, has been added into the mix. Apparently, The Red Queen has gone out of control and is perhaps connected with a laboratory accident that has, that\'s right, transformed hundreds of scientists into bloodthirsty zombies. It\'s up to A team of three (a male character has been added to the cast) to find out the cause and stop it.

so far this P.O.S. just keeps getting more horrible with each news report.

So far it has a ****ty story, a ****ty director and Mila looks like she should be modeling for Prada and not fighting zombies for godsakes.

All I care about is if George Romero is still involed. I know he was originally going to write and dierct it, but I remember hearing that he has sence backet out.

If it\'s a George Romero movie then its gonna rock. If not, It\'s gonna suck.

Argh....  This movie looks like another Street Fighter, except worse.  Why are stupid movies continually being brought to theaters.  A Resident Evil movie shouldn\'t be constricted to a PG-13 rating.  We want BLOOD AND GUTS!!  Please no more stupid videogame movies!!  Although I like Mortal Kombat the movie.

the media seems to think that "blood and guts" cause school shootings, hence the PG13 rating

wtf? why make Mature rating games and then the make a movie based on that game be PG-13?

Capcom has kick ass anime though. Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter Alpha both kicked ass, I have them on DVD, along with the DarkStalkers.

As for the RE movie. This truly pains me, as I love the games and have long imagined it. But, it doesn\'t suprise me. Has anyone seen all the RE toys? They look rather cheap. It seems Capcom  pays zero attenion to Capcom toys (outside of Japan--The Street Fighter Zero Dolls are awesome!) and live action movies. Hopefully, and it pains me to say this, the movie will flop in the box offices and it never sees a sequel.

My advice? True RE fans shouldn\'t see the movie, that way the game isn\'t spoiled. Lord knows it took me awhile to go back to Street Fighter 2 after the movie...........

They should get McFarlane toys to do there toys.

Man I don\'t play with toys no more but I admit spending my money on the McFarlane toy collectibles. They gotta be the best toys on the market...for look and quality...

You should check out the cartoons. They are awesome, well \'cept the American ones. Like the Street Fighter cartoon that ran on the USA network channel. It was extremely lame. But, if you find the anime ones on DVD they are cool to check out.

Yeah, they should get McFarlane to do the toys. He has the coolest damn toys ever. I have no problem buying the McFarlane toys--like Nightmare on Elm Street, The Crow, etc. They are just cool as hell to sit on a desk and look at.

You ever notice that all the cool toys seem to come out after you\'ve grown up? It sucks, damnit!

lol yeah the timing is horrible for those things...

I remeber I use to play with those 1 foot G.I. Joes, and I .broke ones arm off by accident so I taped it back on and made it look like a war wound. Then when I was bored with that idea I used grey tape to look like metal and drew little buttons on the tape and I pretended he was a cyborg.

I would take plastic bags and make masks and stuff for them, i\'d take popsicle sticks and cut the edges off so they were pointy then glue that to someones forearm so he could stab people with it. I\'d make my own  little guns out of wood and stuff. Up here in canada, every winter I would get all dressed up and go play in the backyard and bury my guys then I would forget about them and had to wait until spring came so the snow would melt and I could find em...

Oh boy, some fun times indeed.

I\'ve got like this cheapy rental store by my place, now they get new releases or nuthing like that but they stalk up on a ton of anime and stuff like that. I\'ll definately look for em next time i\'m out there.

They should get Alan B. McElroy to do the script. He made Spawn and Halloween 4 (which resurected the series IMO).

Street Fighter was a DuD, looks like Resident Evil will carry on with the craptacular capcom based game movies.

Ever since I heard that the movie was going to be PG13 I haven\'t been interested.
It\'s going to flop,gamers who played the RE games want to see horror.And people who don\'t know anything about the RE games will probly be uninterested.
