Well she may have a viruse, but I really doubt that, but  next time I go over there I will check, but if you ask me I say it is the crappy companies making the pc\'s and chips inside.  Her pc has been slow from day one so when I go over there tomarrow I will check, but I already know there is no virus.

3dmark2001 reslut = 450!!!

Win 98 SE

3dmark2001 result = 1270!

see for yourself, MY PENTIUM 3 IS faster that A PENTIUM 4  

so..yah INTEL you suck!

Well my pentium 4 scored a 1209 on your little program and it\'s not a gaming PC.  So I think you need to get your piece of crap P4 that only scored a 450 in the shop immediately.

Athlon 700Mhz
Geforce 2 GTS 32 Meg
Asus K7V-T Mobo
256 Megs of ram
And some other assorted stuff

Looks like he has a driver problem. I get 2400 3DMarks in 3DMark 2001

That program is really dependant on your 3d card more than the processor from what it seems to me.

But the point is still valid that MGR was talking out his butt when he wrote:

AMD 1.2ghz here and im loving it. Had a p3 700 and it was ok faster than my k6 3 450 but it didnt act like a 700 but not bad.
My rig...
AMD 1.2ghz
256ram
60gig hard drive
Geforce 2...voodoo 5500 back up

Bulit by myself.

THE PROBLEM WITH YA PROCCESOR IS NOT A PROBLEM BUT COMPAQ IS, I HAVE WORKED WITH COMPUTERS FOR MANY YEARS NOW BUILDING AND RECTIYING, COMPAQ AS GOT TO BE THE ALLTIME WORST, FROM THE EARLY MODELS WITH THE STUPID BIOS ON A FLOPPY TO THE PRESENT DAY ABSOLUTE CRAP CONFIGURATION

If ya thinkin on upgrading biuld ya own with moduler
design it\'s a frow to do and yu\'ll end up with a machine
far better than  retail crap.
if u go for AMD THUNDERBIRDS + ADD the KV7 :D motherboard with raid it\'s an overclockers dream loads of performance and a doddle to set up u can frow the kitchen sink at it and u still wont push it.

so remember AMD+ABIT KV7 MINUS COMPAQ :mad: = NO PROBS :eek:
