Exactly. While, I am not a fond of Intel chips--okay, I admit I detest them (both my computers have AMD chips). I doubt it was the Intel chip causing the problems. Compaq has horrible computers. Personally, you couldn\'t give me one of the damn things.
When something crashes like that, it is easy to point to one thing, but you have to take in account alot of things.
1: Is it the OS? When is the last time you ran ScanDisk? Defragmented? So on and so on.
2: Do you have any conflicts?
3: Are the drivers updated?
4: Do you have the latest update patches for the OS and your software?
5: Are you running a Compaq?
Answer those questions one by one. If you find yourself going "yes" to the 5th question, then get ready to buy a new computer.
