This is all great news,it is a good time to be a PS2 owner now,i think the long wait of good games is over.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing. Lucasarts or Old School Sierra.

BTW, I wouldn\'t trust what CVG sez. At least not till it is confirmed by IGN or DR.

Mmmmm...those forest scenes look nice.  Reminds me of some of the scenes out of the 1/2 finished Lord of the Rings movie that came out [too many years ago to admit to].

Maybe with the upcoming LOTR movie due to hit us, they\'ll consider using this engine to give us a LOTR video game!!???!!!???!!!  BTW, has *any* developer ever worked on a LOTR adventure?  Face it...this would be GREAT on the PS2!!!!

Oh my god w1ngman- you want that too, eh? You read my mind. If they did that, and stayed TRUE to the books, now THAT would be a game that would absolutely ANNIHILATE everything out there- FF, PS, Zelda, all of it. LOTR takes no prisoners- Tolkien is God when it come to fantasy writing. Period.

I always loved those cartoons in 3D world games. This looks like it\'ll bring \'em to a whole new level. I\'m really looking forward to this game and I hope it\'s as good as it looks...

Well I\'m assuming they\'ll improve the charater models somemore, especially since the game is 5 months away.The characters look very plain, backgrounds and enviroments look sweet

I figure they concentrated on the world and gameplay 1st and will comeback and improve character designs later

This game could turn out to be really cool an innovative

There will be an online-rpg made from LotR; the greatest fantasy story ever written. It will be released after the first movie \'tho, so there\'s still some time left. I\'m anticipating the game to be something big, but it\'s for PC anyway.

I haven\'t heard any ps2-plans \'tho.
We shall wait and see.

About those pics: They look nice! I mean, just like a cartoon on-screen, but you play it. Really wonderful... And those pictures just are quite "foggy" to judge anything from. And we should see this game running.

Sorry man. Not gonna happen. This is the visual style Core was shooting for, all of the characters are monochromatic and have minimal shading to give a cartoony feel to the game. They got a bunch of ex disney staffers on the team to get the look right.

I don\'t mind the the style so much, but some of the character design doesn\'t look too original. Hopefully with over 200 NPC\'s we\'ll see some more original design in future previews.

actually, after I realized what look they we\'re shooting for the character designs have grown on me. They definitely have a Disney Flare to them and look pretty close to actual Disney cartoon quality

It will be even better to see this game in motion.
