MGS2 Demo

Hey,


      I just wanted to ask you ppl how many of you have an MGS2 demo thats defective?  Is your version the Jap 1 or the European 1?

My 1st copy (Pal UK) was defective but after a replacement it works fine. Note to all people concerned if
their copy is duff: Loading times inbetween gameplay and the communication screen should be about 3-5 secs.

I look at this demo and i\'m just in awe. There isn\'t many games that make me watch the intro over & over again.

Mine seems ok,but i just wanted to pick up on the point about the intro,it feels just like a movie,and i can watch it over and over,but i think the best part is the music,it really sets the mood.

I have he demo, but I had to replace it first to get the demo to work.

Yep, looks like only a blind fanboy of another system could pick fault with MGS2 graphically.

Gameplay wise i\'m yet to indulge into properly but it seems amazing. i\'m just so impressed with the graphics.
Too buzy looking around then get killed Mind you, i have seen it all the way through as a mate played it.

Thats a pretty weird statement considering the demo is only 3 minutes long...and the demo is a demo of course so there isn\'t very much replay value because demos usually don\'t have much replay value...

Jumpman, you\'re completely off.  The MGS2 demo contains a full ONE HOUR of gameplay... Hideo Kojima said himself, and if you can\'t find yourself playing this demo over and over again than you are very messed up.

I played the original MGS demo that came with OPM, which was a lot shorter than the MGS2 demo about 100 times through and never once did I get sick of it.

Sorry but your totally wrong. IGNPS2 beat the demo within 3 minutes so it kind of it is only 3 minutes in length. Too bad. I even seen the whole demo myself, judging from it you won\'t be playing it over 100 times since the whole thing is pretty basic. You encounter about 3 foes, you walk straight through everything, and most of the time is spent of fighting some chick which is also pretty basic. Trust me, it won\'t have a very deep replay value, ITS A DEMO.

Thnx for replying, but I just wanna know if the defective MGS2 demos are from the UK version of Z.O.E..  B/c i\'m about to get a copy of the japanese Z.O.E. online, but if the MGS2 demo doesn\'t work, then it\'ll be a real hassle to get it exchanged. (My theory is that MOST of the defective disks, if not all, are from the UK version of Z.O.E.) Oh 1 more question, for the people that do have the UK version, is the MGS2 demo in English?

look at it this way or the other, but your statement isn\'t completely true, yes, it\'s possible to beat it in 3 minutes, but to do so you need to set it on very easy and already know what to do, and you also have to take of the cutscenes, the demo offers much more than 3 minutes of game time.

why do you always have to act so negatively to everything, do you like to have enemy\'s?

Well all IGN does is sit on there asses playing games all day and getting payed for it, and why do you care that it was beaten in 3 mintues..I don\'t give 2 ****s who beat it in 1,2 or even 30 minutes..I won\'t get sick of it...There are SEVERAL moves to be learned and you won\'t be able to pull  off all of the advance moves in just one setting.
