D*mnit Hayter! I\'m gonna kill you!

You know, it really makes me mad that David Hayter hasn\'t agreed to do MGS2 for Konami. Its exactly the same with all these f@ggot hollywood movie actors. Once they get a few movie offers they think they are all high and mighty and that they are too good to be in a video game. Doesn\'t he know that if he doesn\'t do the voice of Solid Snake, he will be seriously screwing up the experience?! This is the last Metal Gear game EVER! He should be honored to star in the grand finale of one of historys best video game series!
Not to mention the fact that not only did he get to do the voice of a legendary video game character, but he had him NAMED AFTER HIM!!!!
Anyone who played MGS will remember that at the end of the game when he and Otacon are about to drive away on the snowsled Otacon asks Snake what his real name is, and Snake says DAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In other words Solid Snake\'s real name is DAVID HAYTER!!!!!!!!!!

This guy should be honored! He should be amazed! He should sign that freaking contract the second he can!

Konami is doing the best they can to get David to sign as Snake.  I hope he does to.  The World of MGS won\'t be the SAME!    I\'ll keep an EYE out on the update information.  

if he can make more money making a TV show or a movie why would he waste his time doing a voice for MGS2

g0d, if I just would\'ve been the voice of snake... I\'d do the voice for million sequels, if that would be possible!

Why is this a big deal? His voice was pretty generic sounding, and easily replacable if they do auditions...

1: If he can make more money doing another series or a TV show, he has no reason to do MGS2.

2: It may conflict with his schedule.

3: He may not be interested in doin\' it at all, for his own personal reasons.

You forget, all it is, is a job. He doesn\'t have to do the voice-over for some cause of human love. It was a job he took for some quick cash. He may not be able or may not want to do another MGS game. Or maybe Konami isn\'t going to pay enough so he says screw it.
Big deal.

They could probably hire some impersonator and give him all the audio dialogue that was recorded during the
1st game, including the bits that had hit the cutting room floor. It probably wouldn\'t take a good impersonator
that long to get it spot on.

But i hope that he dave sees sense and gets on with it. Fingers crossed!

Yeah i know what you mean , when i was playing the Demo i liked the Japanese voices they added atmosphere to the game and made me feal alone (due to the fact that i could understand what the gaurd where shouting when they say me).

they should try and make the PAL version with a option to switch it between Englishand Japanese voices .

IMO Hayter wasn\'t all that good in MGS. He sounds like he\'s trying to sound tough and it really mess\'s up the atmosphere. But I have to agree that it would be feel weird without his voice.

It would be great if he could do the voice acting, maybe ask one of the bouncer dudes to do it, they are great. To be honnest..I\'m already fine with the japanese vioces! ...I wouldn\'t mind if they don\'t add english vioce acting
