Well, now I agree with Ethugg, picked it up, this is what I pasted on another forum, I\'ll just copy n paste...
Blargh! I picked up Q3R and ZoE today... ZoE is better than I expected, real nice... but Q3R... IMO isn\'t as fun as the DC version...
Here\'s a ultra quick rundown of my idea of the comparison between PS2 and DC versions
- DC version has keyboard & mouse support (I never used it though)
- DC version has limited online play
- DC version has slightly better control with the controller
- DC version has much better load time
- DC version has somewhat better image quality (better textures/light maps/ actual volumetric fog/ effects)
+ PS2 version has more modes of play
+ PS2 version has a neat campaign mode which allows for upgrading of characters
+ PS2 version has somewhat better framerate
+ PS2 version has more polygons / better curves (usually)
+ PS2 version allows for 2 more bots
... that\'s all I can think of right now, anyways if there\'s one thing you should know about me is I only keep the best of the best games... so Q3R\'s going back tomorrow... I usually sell the games, but I have a chance to get all my money back this time.
Some of the above things are just my opinion, but I just found the DC version somewhat more fun... I didn\'t like Timesplitters or UT either for some reason, oh well, guess I\'m waiting for Red Faction!
