I actually read this post different to stanzo. Im not sure what is meant by this fix but this is how I interrepted it.
The switch pin is actually Pin 8 on a RGB scart lead, it switches the TV to the Scart channel automatically once power is pressed on the device. It also causes the TV to display the picture squashed and the TV automatically makes it full screen again. My TV didn\'t do this with RGB scart. I was left playing games with these boarders (not PAL boarders but boarders which normal TV users don\'t see). Therefore I disabled pin 8 to stop this happening, it also means i have to manually select the Scart channel when wanting to use my PS2.
Either way I still get Green Screen DVD playback through the RGB Scart Cable.
There is a fix but it requires joining two pins within the PS2 and thus will probably invalidate your warrentee.
