I don\'t know if anyone\'s posted about this already, but I found this interesting.

We are now running a campaign on the KCE Japan website accepting people\'s names to be used as enemy soldier names to appear in the final product version of "Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty" to be released in 2001!

If you register your name, birth date, blood type, nationality, etc. on the application page, the development staff will select with careful consideration names to be used as enemy soldier names in the game. The data will be inscribed in dog tags worn by the soldiers.

These dog tags will appear not only in the Japanese version but in all language versions to be sold worldwide. How the dog tags will be used in the game and how the inscribed names will be recognized cannot be revealed yet. One thing for sure -- there is a possibility of Solid Snake and a soldier with your name to appear in the world of MGS2, and an opportunity for you to take part in the development of MGS2 along with the KCEJ Japan staff. We appreciate your participation.


So go to http://www.konami.co.jp/kcej/products/mgs2/mgs2name/index_e.html and start scribbling in your info. I\'m looking forward to tranquillizing you (or myself) in the future, or in whatever predicaments the guys at Konami might put us into :D

At least I haven\'t seen any posts about this on the forums. Maybe all of you just tried to keep it as your own personal information so you\'d be more certain to get yer name in the game :p

It\'s going to be fun in a few months if one of our names is on a soldier....

I can imagine the thread : "it\'s my name in MGS2 !!!!" I am the soldier on the outside off the boat,
and so on....


But that will best the best we can get : a solider\'s name. Not a boss
