interesting... Hope he doesn\'t say the same thing about the \'Cube. ;)

(Am I kidding myself? He\'d just talk about how he won\'t bring MGS2 to it cause its too mature for the audience of it... doh... )

that is something else,i just read that news myself and i\'m blown away with that info...well,maybe not so bad because with all the recent pics,it is obvious to us most can see that it didn\'t live up to the 3 times hype we\'ve been hearing since late last year. now with confirmed word from a master developer,i\'ll take lightly any other developer\'s words (and some Xbox fans here :) ) about the console being "superior" to PS2 and Gamecube. the only way i could be told differently now is if Namco said Xbox was leaps and bound above the rest,i can\'t be convinced otherwise... :D

Nothing in the same generation will ever be \'leaps and bounds\' above another system. You are going to be waiting a LOOOONG time if you are waiting to hear that. Frankly, its the games you are playing, not their graphics.

Datamage we read that in 2 other X-Box threads already, why was this one needed? You really have something against XB dont you?

Not @ all. If the X-box proves to be a worthy system (for me) I\'ll be more than happy to pick it up.

I didn\'t read this in any other thread since I tend to stay away from those useless arguments.

What I do have something against is people saying that a certain system will be better when all they\'re going by is lies and what\'s on paper. Was the same when PS2 was launching and ppl were claiming that it was leagues above the DC. I hated the PS2 back then, and not until I saw something that I wanted did I change my mind.

i did not see those other Xbox threads either with this info...i highly doubt Datamage has anything against XB while posting this topic,it was an interview with Kojima if you seen the link. i personally never read where Datamage was not going to get an Xbox. well AlteredBeast,if claims of 3 times more power is flashed around at your competition,that to me would imply "leaps and bounds" to me...and don\'t tell me graphics have nothing to do with games nowdays,it is nearly as important anymore with the newer games,but be my guess to go back to the 16 / 32bit era and relive gameplay only. i want both inclusions,excuse me for being biased about that :)

that is very interesting, i knew that it(xbox) wouldnt be 3 times betterthan ps2.  only marginally better.
guess im right!!
oh well.. too bad the casual gamers only know hype... not truth.

man, ive heard people say things like ps3 is coming out in 2 months, and that ps9 is coming in 2009. when i asked him what it looked like, he said it was a little ball that has ps9 on the front of it.
no, you say?yes. i say. it is true. he said just that, and meant it.

(and to think that i go the one of the best high schools in the usa..)

...it wasn\'t difficult for Kojima to say that the graphics involved in Metal Gear Solid X for the Xbox will have slight improvements from its PS2 counterpart...

In my last posts I said PS2 is close to the X-Box in the overall performance and I was Right :D

It was only my opinion but now I see that "SOMEONE" can confirm what I thought!!!

Think about it Konami has pored Millions of dollars into the Ps2 version of MGS2 right? so if hideo came out and said that the Ps2 version of the game would look like **** compared to the Xbox version than this could hurt the sells of the Ps2 game. Developers are going to protect their own interests. They figure they have more to gain than lose by saying all their game versions/consoles are similar, unless they go exclusive.

...The E3 is so near that hideo should lose his credibility...you are wrong!

(The only thing which will look like **** is Malice when compared with Mario GC and Naughty Dog\'s secret platform-action...:))

I agree with AlteredBeast!!  I seen games like MDK2, Crazy Taxi game on the DC looks alittle better.   Xbox is ahead in graphics, but we still did not see the full power used on the Playstation 2 yet.  We don\'t have to talk about Xbox in Forum.  We all have a PS2,  so lets keep talking about new games, reviews or what ever on PS2.  Who cares about the Xbox!  :D

Take like example games that begin to scratch the surface of the Power of the Black Beast...I\'m speaking of GT3,FFX,The Getaway,AC4,Devil May Cry...so...tell me pstwo...why did you choose some of the worse PS2 games as touchstone ??  I know you can do it...I mean...understand it...PS2 is Far more difficult to develop for than the DC so...don\'t take(in general) "PS2 VS DC" like an example...

...The E3 will show the Potential of the PS2 !!!  :D

where does it say PS2 is 15 times more powerful than DC? i never read that anywhere...that is not even close to being true if someone told you that...they\'re on drugs! i do know any claims said were never the extention of what Xbox claimed over PS2.

sure whatever...yeah like Kojima is pulling stuff out of the air with his statements,he doesn\'t know nothing afterall he\'s just a genius game developer by luck :rolleyes: . what does he have to gain by this? MGS(2/X) will sell millions anyway,he\'s not gaining more by saying the PS2 version will be the same as the Xbox version (most loyal fans know the real version will be the one on the PS2,other versions will be just extra goodness to add to the MGS collection),so he would be protecting nothing with this info...if anything he should of said Xbox version would be way better than the PS2 version to help sales of a much lesser known console version. just face the facts,Kojima spoke truth but some will take that very hard and cover it up best they can
