Here\'s the entire article! Interesting that the first Metal Gear didn\'t carry the Konami name, eh?

He looks like Frankenstein\'s monster.  But at least he doesn\'t have a mullet.

I had Metal Gear for the clunky old 8-bit Nintendo system. Remember blowing on the inside of the cartridge and the Nintendo to get the Nintendo to read them? :) I had Spy Hunter and Zelda (the original one with the gold cartridge). I loved those games...:) I remember when my brother saved up and finally bought one for $100. Oh yeah...and Metroid, too. And the Duck shooting game, and Mario and...er...sorry...:D *Memories* :crying: I miss being a kid. Oh well...:)

P.S. Konami did make the original Metal Gear. Hideo Kojima may look young, but he has kids...and he\'s dang near 40...;)

I still play the original Metal Gear from time to time. You\'d be amazed at how similar they are. Guards fell asleep, you had your smokes, and if a soldier found you, it was on. Just like it is now. The game was/is hard as hell.

This thread is really nostalgic - I love it!

I remember playing Teenage Mutant Hero Ninja Turtles game ( I don\'t remember wich, but it was good! ) with my friend on his house when I was younger ( I never owned a nes, but my friend did ) - I loved the game - it rocked! And I remember how cool my friend was when he completed the game for the first time :)

Then we completed the game together for MANY times actually :)

I don\'t remember if it was that arcade game - as I was so young I couldn\'t speak or read english - but I do remember it was a turtles game :)

I gave my old NES to my little sister and she was playing Turtles 1 and 2 the other day.  They actually still work!
