Today I won a Game Boy Colour and Pokemon Gold for it. For free - and that is always a positive thing - mind me not liking Pokemon so much.

I won GBC from a finnish game-show called Tilt!. I\'m part of the Tilt! -club, and each week, the three most activest members and best reviewers will get prizes, and this week, I was either the activest member or the best reviewer ( I gave Tilt! two reviews, both I think were kinda good, and I was really active at the message board there ) - and I got my prize - Game Boy Colour and Pokemon Gold -edition.

I decided that my lucky number will be 14 from this day on ;)

I\'m still registered in the Tilt-club. But I really don\'t feel like visiting the discussion pages, which just plain suck. No intelligent conversation at all, with members\' IQ averaging at -27. Sheesh. And Tilt, is the goddamn lamest games show ever (I could write a list of about 1000000 reasons for this but I haven\'t got time right now). Ick. There\'s really not much competition if someone with even half a brain trawls into that hellhole... :)

(sorry \'bout that, but I really don\'t like that place too much)

Cool, congrats Joyda.

I once won 4 PDA\'s in a Danish computer show on TV. It was only second prize though, the first prize was a brand new computer. :evil:

Well, at least I could make a quick buck on selling them. Plus I got my name on TV. :)

Congrats.  Everybody loves a winner!

I\'ve won one thing in my life.  A 1000 dollar package from Mac\'s Milk.  A Baseball sports bag with a gloves, 4 bats, catcher\'s pads, catcher\'s mit, plus a week at "minor league" sports camp WITH the goddamn Toronto Blue Jays.  

This was years ago, and Macs was "shakey" at the time.  They used their "escape" clause, and sent me a T-shirt two months after I got the winner notification letter, and cancelled the rest of the prize.  Just a month before I was going to head off to Toronto.

That was the day my faith in the world died.

It wasn\'t Palm\'s, but some other ... cheaper ones. I can\'t remember the brand (Olivetti perhaps?). They looked a lot like the Palm\'s though, but it was cheaper - both by look and function. :)

Hawke, I completely agree :laughing:

Tilt!-club is full of spamming morons who just write to get the prize - but I think my secret was in the reviews, because I really put some thought to them - and I tried to post reasonably. The show is really bad nowadays - due to short and lacking in details -reviews and too much mobile-games-talk. Heck, 10 minutes of the 30 -minute show goes to the repeating of those mobile-game-rules...

But, I usually don\'t write there. I registered around october last year ( little before I discovered this place ) - and this week I just wrote there to get that GBC - and I got what I wanted ;)

It was quite easy. GBC + game for free - I\'m happy :D

Not to mention that 80%of those young boys watch Tilt mostly because of Jaana, who probably hadn\'t even heard of games when she was hired. Yuck. I used to write stuff to the tilt forums but got over it.

I\'ve won something, I won a little award with my short story in \'elementary school\'.
