 Tony Hawk X shy on Europe, THPS 3 details

Activision insiders have revealed that the current Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater title for Xbox is unlikely to ever be released in Europe

Don’t panic, Microsoft fans. Although Tony Hawk Pro Skater X is unlikely to ever release in Europe because of territorial timing differences in releasing the hardware, according to Activision and Neversoft sources you’ll get the full third version next spring. Tony Hawk’s X is generally considered to be the 2.5 version of the latest game on PlayStation.
"By the time Europe gets Xbox, Tony Hawk’s 3 will have either been released for PlayStation 2 or will be at least ready to go," said one source. "The first title on Xbox in Europe is likely to be the fully blown third instalment, possibly for launch."

Current chat in the UK development community is pointing to either an April or March release for the Microsoft machine in Europe.

PlayStation 2 will be the first European console to see the incredible looking Tony Hawk’s 3, which was shown running for the first time in Los Angeles last week. The major upgrade, aside from some spectacular graphics, is four-way online play. Demonstrated on PS2 at the Activision event, the feature performed admirably. Other adages include the ability to cause earthquakes and collapse freeways (motorways to you lot).

We’ll have plenty more soon. Rest assured that this will be one of the hottest PlayStation 2 and Xbox titles this year.

so where are all the THPS3 screens and info

they must have had to agree not to show anything until E3 week

They are not releasing anything until E3. Well at least according to the person that i talk to that works in the gaming industry, and don\'t worry the game will OWN. I am already thinking about going to pre order this one this weekend.

I\'m not worried about the game, but since it was shown off last week according tho the article I just have to wonder where that info is at

That is great news - I was a serious THPS-fan, as I owned both of the PS-versions and played them to death. I just hope few things from THPS3:

-More \'levels\'.
I know there\'s a lot of them, but they\'re so good, that you\'ll always want more and more.

-Actual possibility to kill yourself
Bad accidents happen, but in THPS and THPS2, they just look comical. I want real scars, blood - I want to hear bones crushing, and I want to see a skater dead. This could be great addition to the career mode - would add some depth to it, and it would make it far more realistic.

But I\'ll wait for E3 to get more info  + screenshots...

I carnt believe this a another game to look out for,there are so many games that look good,this is what the ps2 is all about.
I carnt wait to play THPS3 online that is going to rock big time.

Yeah thats what it stands for.

Im really looking forward to THPS3, THPS was at the time a really original and fun game which is what counts. This game should be ace.

tony hawks 3 is gonna be sweet, hope there are more levels and more tricks. It would be cool if players did get hurt etc, i thought they had something like that on the american version of th(1) i played a demo of it and it had something like hardness
