I was going to ask this in the other thread but since this is the official hockey thread;

Question for Pittsburgh fans (or anyone else); where do you think Jagr will be traded in the off-season, and for whom. Or do you think he\'ll be traded at all?

He thinks he\'s going to go because they have to resign Straka, Lang and Kovalev to new deals, and it makes sense to have those three players on your team (who make, IMO, the best second line in the NHL), rather than one Jagr. I think he\'ll go to the Rangers for Manny Malhotra, Tomas Kloucek, draft picks and cash - that\'s my call, unless the Rangers make a move for Yashin, then I have no idea where Jaromir will end up.

Jagr isn\'t going anywhere, he\'s a franchise player and Mario\'s friend.  Look for Straka and/or Lang to go instead.  I sure hope they keep Kovalev, he\'s the best player on their team!  They also need some defense... something always lacking in Pburg hockey besides goaltending.

Your a true blue fan then

Sticking with your team even though they traded Dumont and Gilmour and paid 1/2 of Gilmours Salay to the Sabres for a player they traded a few months later

Boy did we stick it to Chicago big time on that trade

Dolbytone,
Detroit doesn\'t need a new coach, Scotty Bowman is the winningest coach in NHL history, no one has more Stanley Cup wins than Scotty.

As for Pitsburgh, I think it would be really silly of them to keep Jagr, while letting Straka and/or Lang go, or even Kovalev go. For the price of keeping Jagr they could instead resign and improve the contracts of that one line which provides more goals and assists than Jagr himself. They also have to resign Kasparitis.

The Pens\' franchise player is now their owner. :)

ddaryl,
that wasn\'t Buffalo\'s best trade with Chigago, no that would be Hasek for Stephane Beauregard and a fourth rounder ROFL LMAO!!!! (Even if that 4th rounder turned out to be Eric Daze)

ps2gamer_59,
Don\'t be ashamed, that\'s what being a true fan is all about - staying true to your team through the bad times will make the good times so much more sweeter. At least you can still laugh at Chris \'I\'m leaving to win a Cup\' Chelios.

I\'m a Senators fan.  Stupid lucky Toronto!  ARGH!! Don\'t get me started...

I\'m rooting (however grudgingly) for Toronto though for the rest of the playoffs (even though I don\'t think they have a chance... though I thought that in round one), cause they\'re the last Canadian team, and cause if they win the cup, it\'s kind of vindication for the Sens.

Lavan, I know Scotty\'s record and I\'m just going to have to disagree with you.  Based on the team\'s performance in the playoffs for the past couple years I think Bowman has reached a point where he needs to reinvent himself in order to win again.  He certainly has the team to do it with right now, so why do they choke in the playoffs?  Really, since he\'s taken over (since he left Pburg right?) they\'ve only won 1 cup (unless I\'m not remembering correctly) and have had arguably a dominant team in the league the entire time.  He\'s been knocked out of the playoffs with this team by San Jose, whom at the time had a much weaker team than they do now, and by the Kings this year... two playoff series\' in which Detroit should have won easily.

We\'ll just have to see how the Pburg thing pans out, but I agree that they need to keep Kovalev and Kasparitis.  I just don\'t think they\'ll give up Jagr, Mario needs his help.

 yes truly a bad desicion but what the hell! when we traded belfour he was doing horrible! all of a sudden he starts to do awesome on dallas then we trade gilmour and he starts to pick  it up.  And by far a horrible trade roenick to winipeg/phoenix for Zhamnov. sure he\'s good but not as good as Roenick.
