AUUUUGH!  I cannot believe so many here didn\'t HATE the second MK.

The first was very cool.  The second was a vomitous mass of putrid dog poop[/i]!

1)  They couldn\'t get the same actors.
2)  It\'s plot didn\'t make ANY sense at all.
3)  It\'s ending was terrible - finding the beast within.. all that borax.
4)  It SUCKED!

Heh heh .... that\'s just my opinion though. :D

Although some people love it for the strategy, I know most Tomb Raider fans are really Laura Croft\'s body fans. So hearing a guy for once diss Tomb Raider has made my day. But sadly this movie will do good. You know as well as I do how many guys are going to see this movie!

I like the games a lot, what are you saying? So do lots of people I know, including my 50 year old mother! I think TR has more to offer than L.C.s body. And guys diss TR all the time, I call them \'idiots who were too confused to beat it\'.

FYI: TR is action adventure, not strategy.

most films made from games are crap, but who know this could be good, its not like other film made of games, they can make up any story for it, as there is nt a set story line in any of the game apart from lara croft. also Angelina Jolie is well sexy

EThugg and anybody else who cares. A family member of mine bought Tomb Raider 1 when it first came out. So of course being family I got to play it. All I did were some jumps, running around, exploring, shoot a bear, and some wolves. Yeah I guess that means it\'s action. But I found this whole experience boring. If you love Tomb Raider (for the game)  I mean no insult. I just don\'t care for it personally. But as you can see almost all the people on this post who say Tomb Raider is cool, also have to add how sexy they think she is. Look they called some on gay for not thinking that. Yeah I know you guys weren\'t serious. But see my point.

It\'ll probly suck ass.

But chances are I\'ll end up seeing it for 2 reasons.

1.Angelina Jolie is hot, there are hotter chicks out there but she is still on the warmer side.

2.Parts of the movie were shot here in Iceland.It\'ll be nice to see that in a big Hollywood movie.

I think your a little bit confused here. First of all, very few people actually think Tomb Raider (the game) is cool anymore, except for casual gamers. They must eat it up still, otherwise they wouldn\'t keep cranking out more TR games. But I don\'t know anyone in real life or on the internet that does. Some people tolerate it, or enjoy slightly but very few people actually think it\'s cool. I don\'t remember seeing anyone in this thread that admitted to it.

Second of all, no one actually thinks Lara Croft is sexy. Saying that male gamers play Tomb Raider just because Lara Croft is sexy, is like saying female gamers play Metal Gear Solid because Solid Snake is such a stud. If you find someone that does think Lara is sexy, bring them to me so that I that I can slap some sense into them. Saying Angelina Jolie is sexy...well that\'s a totally different story.

Tomb Raider sucks big time. IMO all it is is a cheap Resident Evil rip off.

Unfortunately, it was in development before BH, so that\'s unlikely, besides that the controls, and very premise are 100% different.

Kane-Don\'t speak for anyone but yourself. I think TR rocks, and I want that more than a lot of \'highly anticipated\' games that the real mainstream wants. And I like TR3 (the worst) way better than that ZOE ****....

Angelina Jolie IS hot - Winona Ryder is far too skinny to my liking ( or at least she was in Alien Resurrection ) :)

I loved TR I and II, but every TR game after the second one was somewhat too much - still I\'m waiting for the Next Generation Lara. Not for the body, but for the premise - it could bring something completely new to the platforming genre, but it also could recycle the old and make Lara just look better ;)

I can\'t say if Tomb Raider is a bad Indiana Jones ripoff, but the first thought popping into my mind when I saw the trailer was: "This movie has had many inspirations from Indiana Jones". Well, some could say \'of course\'. Some might consider it a bad thing, but IMO it isn\'t bad - I love Indiana Joneses, and TR can still be fresh and offer something new.

We\'ll see next summer... or THIS summer...

I don\'t think a series were nearly every game is a \'greatest hits\' and has been in the top 10 PSone lists with every game (and both the DC games) is \'very few people\'. There\'s also toys, the aforementioned movie that\'s poised to be a huge hit and a extremely successful comic. Tomb Raider is huge, even if you don\'t like it. And I would bet money that around a 3rd of ppl on this forum like TR, they just wont admit it because of many ppls assertion that only nerds who ogle over Lara like the game.

Eh, I never thought one comment could spark a debate on my sexuality! :D

Still, I don\'t see a reason to go see it, even if Angelina Jolie is in it. The games was okay, I guess. I personally can\'t stand them, \'cept the first, and I wasn\'t that fond of it.
