The postponement of GT3 is making it less worthy. . .
« on: April 30, 2001, 10:59:37 PM »
for me that is.  Too much anxiety has built up through the last year that by the time I actually get GT3 in my hands, I\'d feel like saying "damn game look what you put me through!". . But if I had the game this month I\'d be yelling FINALLY!! WHoohoo!!  It\'s not even funny.  I have to withdraw myself from all this hype, because a 2 and 1/2 month would be the longest wait.  My favorite music group puts out an album every 4 years, every year they promise a release, by the time I get it I just SIGH and then it takes a month to give it a chance.  Man, I want a good reason for why GT3 was delayed besides dumb translations.

Sometimes I think the same way, but this game is more and more surprising to me. As people are getting the Import one, I find out more info on this game. There\'s more to know about this game. I love this game! I would wait if it takes 6 more months. :D

I sure hope the translations are in game - I could care less about the manual, after all, I can get car specs and pics on the internet.  At the same time, I certainly don\'t want them to rush the actual game in any way - quality is better than speed, and I can stomach a little bit longer.

I am beginning to feel the same. The delays add to the hype but eventually you get hyped out where the delays begin to make you feel less bothered about this game. Im about at that stage. I really want GT but these delays (and esp in the UK) are just beginning to spoil it and its a case of if they are releasing this in September then I may miss it, after all us UK people will then have Onimusha and Red Faction.

Actually what am I saying ? :) Ill be getting GT3, but the delays are beginning to ruin the pre release fun. ;)

not just the delays of this game but all games

everytime i turn around another game is shot back and delayed for a month and then another month

come one get your stuff together and get the game out already - this is taking to long IMO - what i want to know is what put them behind schedule - i mean they had to have known that would have to translate it what made them want to say it would be ot in june then

Yeah.

I think that all games developers should give us a good reason for the delays (that don\'t include translations or PAL / NTSC changes). I bet most of the time its Sony\'s marketing stratigy.

i think its because they want to have many copy for the release so they are pushing it of a month  to satisfy the most costumer

I\'m with kopking and ddaryl.

I\'ll stick to my opinion that you should just wait, have some patience, and have a GREAT finished bug-free perfect product. If you want a rushed out GT3 ( wich would eventually bring more disappointment I\'m sure )... you... have short nerves :)
