Well, from the screenshots you can tell it has platformer gameplay (Looks like Herdy has to collect some bell looking things). But also it has elements where you have to gather/herd animals and your actions in the enviornment will affect the animals.

I guess this could be considered a new genre: Platform-sim.:)

The gameplay concept sounds great

All you do in other games is hack and slash or solve puzzles

Here you herd animals and they interact with each other and the enviroment which produce puzzles.

I\'ll wait and hear more about it but I\'m looking forward to this one

I hope to appreciate the developers "levels" of herding that you will be responsible for.  As I understand it, should an animal in your keep dash away, it can potentially disrupt other herds of animals.  And not just animals, but, say, groups of butterflies, etc.  As I understand it, one of the ultimate ideas is that you are a herdsman and that it is your intrinsic nature to herd life.  With that premise, a "loose cannon" animal that evades its flock could cause you to have to juggle dealing with multiple herds to keep everything under control.  Should be a refreshing concept.  Graphically, it looks great; the cell animation looks to be as unique as I could ask for.

This should be a pleasant diversion while we wait for the likes of unbridaled muscle in GT3 (will it EVER release!??!) and MGS2 - bleh!...2002 now...jeez!!!

The game brings Harvest Moon to mind.

I think this one will be quite entertaining, despite having dull, repetitive lulls to it.  The idea that so much can change from so little is intriguiging.  Hopefully they can pull it off right.

I haven\'t heard much about this game, but I\'m already starting to get interested about it. Something new perhaps? Brings Harvest Moon in mind? ( a great game, that is - truly powerful with da force... )

So, any screenshots available yet?

Here. These are the "bullet" features taken right from Eidos\'s website:

--Master the complex relationships between the wild inhabitants, Gerdy’s herding techniques, and different environmental elements

--Control 12 unruly island species, each with their own intellects, personalities and behavior patterns

--Solve puzzles, manage resources, and employ a high level of strategic thinking to manipulate the various creatures

--Immerse yourself in a living, breathing world with lush graphics, incredibly fluid animation and an unparalleled level of detail

--Explore 27 expansive environments filled with more than 200 non-playable characters

--Experience absorbing, continuous gameplay without load times, detailed character skin and bone structure, a complex lighting system, and a seamless blend of natural-looking animation and control

--Acquire tools, guidance and experience from key non-playable characters by winning challenges and successfully completing side quests

......zesty!!....

:)

And here are a couple of pics. More at ign.com...
