What do you think of X-Box graphics?

The only thing that impressed me was DOA3 and that\'s about it.  Most of the other games look horrible!!

horrible? Name one game that looks horrible by your standard. Even then, I bet I could name 5 PS2 games that look worse. or 10 DC games that look worse.

The games look good. Not mind blowing, not GT3ish, etc. just good. but it isnt even out the door yet. Look at GT2000 pics and you will agree that no console\'s graphics can be judged before it comes out, especially on unfinished hardware.

1: This should really be in the Console Debating forum.

2: We haven\'t seen enough to really say---at least I haven\'t personally. I will wait until E3 to reserve judgement or better yet, June2nd (I believe) when I go to see the Xbox first hand .. . But this generation of consoles won\'t be won by graphics.. Its all gameplay right now, as graphical differences will probably be very , very slight.


By the way--did anyone else sign up at MS\' Event page to go see the Xbox, when it comes to a town near you?

Well when you consider that the developers are just now getting around to using the NV2a I think the graphics are looking pretty good.  The fact of the matter is that the Xbox is more powerful than any other console and it will have better graphics.

The graphics do impress me, not the games.

I must admit im impressed by the graphics that i\'ve seen on the X-Box, however I think the games lineup seems poor.

Ahh, X-Box graphics look like ****e. Sure technically they mostly are good, but you can spot a game that uses DirectX a mile away. Personally I think PC graphics look rather synthetic and bland, samey etc If I could find a better word I would use it.

Ahh f*uck it, I hate PCs with a passion, I`ve been studying them at uni for three years now and they are the most clunky bloody things for games. Not that the X-Box will be like that, I just hate the idea of a console made up of PC components.

x box\'s graphics are good. given i only think in the end they will only be marginally better than ps2\'s, i still think x box has this generation with its graphics...
however, the game lineup  for it is next to nothing.

i think i will have a good idea who will win the console wars this generation after e3...
and thats another thing, people are becoming a little edgy around here... i say it because e3\'s on the horizion....

Halo has impressed me.But everyone knew that game would rule.

Okay I\'m just disappointed in the graphics.  For example the starwars special edition for x box looks no better than the ps2 version!!!  The textures are very low quaitly I think this is another overhyped system graphically.

Everybody was expecting movie like graphics with the PS.2,and were dissappointed with what they got.

xbox graphics look like ****?, LOL hahaha :Laughing: Look at Malice and Azurik, all great games with amazing graphics ps2 can\'t touch. Yes ps2 can do those, but not in this generation. Yes PC graphics are rather low poly/high texture (unreal tournament) they certainly dont look bland or synthetic. Try games like Giants and Undying.

And pc are bulky?, yes thats true. But try playing a 1st person shooter on a console. Console\'s will becpome more bulky in  the future with upcoming keyboards, HDDs, BBAs and more.

Maybe so...... because in the future they will add the internet then you can browse the internet using your tv....... pretty soon people will be able to download programs like Napster and store music on the harddrive......... Personal Computer/Sucky Game Entertainment........ not a good mix!

Raslant, look at Rayman 2 and MDK2 Armageddeon. Both gaems were out VERY long before being released on PS2, yet somehow they still turned out crappier than their rivals offerings.

you say Star Wars Starfighter (which I have heard many say is an excellent looking title), I say Rayman 2, MDK2 A, Midnight Club, Nascar (resolution drops!), Gameday 2001, Gamebreaker 2001, 989\'s ****e everything else.
