Nah, Sonys got plenty of it. And if Square is making a FF game for Xbox I dont think Colombia and Sony (Sony ownz Colombia) want to do another movie with them!

While I have not heard anything about this rumor (*glares at Cygnus for the rumor site comment*  =]  we post tons of news and make sure our rumors are clearly marked as such *and* this was posted in the forums by one guy, not a story from MSXbox) no one should be feeling at all confident either way.

I just talked to Bill Gates and he said that the Xbox and its future has been cancelled, and instead Micro$oft will start production on the Xcube, a system that utilizes the power of the space-time continuum in order to tap into the player\'s mind and produce some pretty pictures on his/her television set.

Now let\'s all act like idiots and believe what we just read, because it\'s exactly what most of us wanted to hear.

Oh, and I find it funny how nearly all of them Xbox kids are acting as if Final Fantasy was the worst thing to happen to the gaming world, when in reality most of their sorry asses would kill to have a new FF game on the system.

Sorry if this post came off as a little harsh, but there are very few things in this world that piss me off more than moronic imbeciles that praise a console that isn\'t going to be out for at least half a year, and then bash on a system or company that doesn\'t deserve to be bashed.

Dont worrie about it,it is only Square,i dont know what all the fuss is with square,i really dont rate there games.

For the love of god I hate these topics. Granted its only a "rumer" and he ment know harm buy it. But use commen sence. Final Fantasy 10, 11, and 12 are all PS2 exclusive. They have begun develepment on 12 resently. If it was moving one to the X-box it would be 13 and thats what 3-4 years down the road?

If the rumor isn\'t true then it shouldn\'t be a big deal to x-box fans anyway.  I would hardly consider square to be an important 3rd party for any new console.  The only games they make well are interactive movies that they label as RPGs.  I\'m sure Microsoft could buy them anyway if they really wanted them.  Square has already proven they can be bought easily.

     I dont consider myself a Square finatic. Sure im a final fantasy fan but thats okay because I dont let it block my judgment. Its a game after all right. But I would like to wonder how you can say theat Square is not an important 3rd party? And that the only good game they made (jumping to conclusions) was the Bouncer. Every company can be bought yes, but does Billy Boy want to cough up the amount needed to make Square a 2nd party developer? Finacially speaking Square and Sony have to many ties for Square to develope for anyone elts. Why, because that would "make Sony reps very angry".

this is true but they only jump ship when the company their with Stabs them in the back , and seeing the amount of money they have invested in both the films and FF 7 to 9 remakes i think they will be concintrating on the PS2 for a while now.

Maybe they will do multi platform of the series but hey i don\'t see them doing anything other than port overs for the time being.

if you want the next FF games stick with the PS2

if you want to see the Film got to the Theater , and then get it on DVD .

I had intended to make them plenty stupid / pathetic before I read this thread for the first time, but their latest attempts at making the Xbox appear God-like is just sickening, and worthy of kicking their lamer status up another level.
