If it does go to XBOX, all of the M$ fanboys that were saying how Squaresoft is crap and Microsoft doesnt need them to win the console wars, will all say how wonderfull SS is and we welcome them with open arms. I dont like M$ fanboys at all. I like the system, just not the other people.

Hell Nintendo fans are the same way in this regards. Goto any Nintendo board and they\'ll rant and rave about how Square sucks and this and that, but a little while ago when there was some Square on GC rumors they were  jumping up and down and proclaiming the death of the PS2 gleefully

then there\'s the PS2 fanboys who always play the Square card when trying to win a console debate

its all rediculous so trying to say its XBox fans is naive cause I know quite a few Xbox fans that are pretty damn cool when there not being attacked by over zealous PS2 fans. Its a big wheel that turns and everyone is pushing it

Yeah guys, but in all due respect, when Sega was the PS2\'s major competetor we had a lot of Sega haters here saying how much sega sucks and that they\'re games aren\'t anything really special. Then once Sega announces support for the PS2, people were jumping up and down with joy.

Personally I don\'t really like the fact that Sega is making games for ANY other consoles in this generation, but I know why they have to. IMO, if you want to play Sega games so bad then you have to buy a Sega console. End of Story. That\'s just the way it should be. I\'ll be damned if I pick up any Sega game for the PS2 that\'s made available to the DC.

That is a valid point Sonyfan, i sold my DC about september last year to put the money towards my PS2.
in that time though (sept-now) i havn\'t missed my DC at all, i had about 47 games aswell. I know that there are
newer games on there now like PSO and sonic 2 but there isnt much to want me to go back to it. but yes your
comments are totally vailid but i stand with you. i wont buy a sega game either, ok maybee VF4 but crazi tazi
just doesn\'t do it for me.

I think you missed the boat on what it was I was trying to say. I\'ll buy Sega made games for my (future) PS2. However, if the game(s) Sega makes was out on the DC first.. or is also made for the DC, then I\'d pick up the DC version before even thinking of getting the PS2 version. It sounds to me like you\'re just not into Sega\'s games.. and that\'s alright.. but I still like them and am willing to support the DC until Sega stops.

They might not be making anymore DC units, but they\'ve already stated that they will support it with games until it no longer makes good buisness sence to do so. I, for one, would rather see Sega support their customers until this generation of hardware is done and over with. The only way to do that is to buy the games Sega makes for their hardware.

Understood. It isn\'t that i dont like sega or anything like that, I have owned the Master System, Megadrive,
Saturn and a dreamcast. but there is just something about playing games on a playstation. it\'s just my preference.
I used to bounce around the different console platforms for quite a while. iv\'e had everything but i just kept
comming back to the playstation. ive had 16 of the things :D

Proof I\'m not a fanboy. I will go on record as saying I hate Square even if the rumors true. **** Square and their piss poor attempts at non-RPGs, and their mediocre, repeditive, overrated FF series. Heh, that outta piss someone off.... :D

Ethugg, With the lush, tropical, amazing environments of FFX, you\'d have to have some form of down syndrome to not wanna get this game. Over rated or not, this game will have amazing graphics. Best i\'ve seen yet. Imagine what it will look like on ecstasy!!!!

I have FF7, 8, 9. I didn\'t say I wouldn\'t get it, but I feel its mediocre, overrated, excessivly repeditive and long. It\'s great for my disabled mother, but I prefer a bit more than that....

I do believe the Final Fantasy Series is over rated but I dont believe they are mediocer. They do try to inovate and differenciate every final fantasy game.

Dammit man! You of all people were supposed to get really pissed off and cuss at me! Oh well.... My problem with them is the size usually. It starts out fun, I\'m interested in the story, then it just keeps going on and on.... I was bored with FF9 by the 2nd disk. I prefer shorter, constantly interesting games like MGS, RE than games that get too long and convoluted for the sake of being long. Even my beloved TR games have done this.... and it pisses me off.
