Rugby 2001!!!
« on: May 13, 2001, 03:17:28 AM »
i got told it\'s coming to New Zealand at the start of June! I cant wait. So this means it will be out in Europe about a week before then.

I so want this game. Then I could actually make the loser All Blacks beat the Aussies. Not that that would happen in real life.

Im all about people voicing opinions but Rugby is anything but boring. Rugby involves the funniest and stupidest thing siad in my life.

And I quote

NFL is very girlish!

They have huge shelds ect.

I saw a NFL match once. Almost fell asleep with all the damn pauses.

That is what I think anyway. ;)

Rugby 2001 looks great, and is yet another reason I will probably end up buying a UK PS2 since it probably won\'t come out here in North America.

Can\'t wait either!!!.....South Africa has also got a June release but they reckon that it might fall back to July or even August.  The game is looking sweet and I believe the gameplay is up there with the best.

How can rugby be girlish?!?!....lets take all the padding away from the American Football players and see if they are prepaired to take tackles like the Rugby players do without any of those girly padding.  Nevermind international games, they won\'t even be able to play the Super 12 teams??

Yeah, played that game to death.  Pitty that it is the only rugby game for the playstation.

EA did the World cup 95 for the Sega Genesis and is now doing one for the PS2 but it skipped the Playstation1??...doesn\'t make sense to me, anyway there is one coming now and I am too excited to say anymore!!!!

I saw a video of it running today at my local games store and it looks pretty good. The graphics arent as good as Madden but the game play looked smooth and fast.
Just hope it\'s like that when you play it.

I hope they get the refeering right in this game.

If they get it consistent it will be a lot better than the refs that spoil the game in real life! eg Ed Morrison

im not too fussed about the graphics.
Jonah wasn\'t exactly a graphical wonder, but the gameplay  rocked, we were still learning new tricks 3 years down the track.

As for the referee decision- the ref\'s in Jonah were obviously South African (just joking).
but seriously a bad decision just made a game that much more intense
The options in Jonah were a little scarce ie gamelength, subs, gameplans etc - No doubt EA will play on this as they always do
Just hope ruby for ps2 improves on the PC version coz that sucked - or maybe it was just that sports games on PC\'s always suck
