It would suck if we had to use Arseholes On Line, and subscribe with them, when we all have our own ISP\'s already. I\'m not gonna pay for two ISP\'s, NO WAY.

Please let us use our own ISP Sony :)

I doubt it. Sony is just teaming up with as many major ISP\'s as possible

I wouldn\'t hold 2 seperate ISP\'s one for my PS2 and for my Computer, nor would I want one for  an Xbox a PS2  a GC and Computer

SO I have to believe any ISP will do.

I could be wrong but thats what I think

Hey you know I was thinking, I hate AOL myself and they are crap for internet games but maybe with Sony to guide them they can modify their craptacular internet service to be optimized for online gaming. Kind of like Sega.net.

Either way I\'ll be using my regular cable provider.

If you think about it Sony is pretty damn smart.  PS is the biggest mainstream system so they need something acceptable to and accesible to the mainstream. What do you think I\'m guessing is the biggest most popular ISP?
If they chose some company that had amazing tech. but only techies and the such knew about them, Sony would have a much harder time getting their online plan to catch on.  Oh, and aol does offer broad band now so it could work out pretty well.

The only (or at least the biggest) reason Sony is teaming with AOL/TIMEWARNER is because AOL/TW are working on producing a "legal" way to swap music over the net.

You can use a cable modem with AOL.  Before you go to sign on, there is a option asking what kind of connection you have.  So, once you change that to your cable connection, there won\'t be a problem.

Is it really possible to hate an isp?  I hear all this whining about how bad AOL is, but I\'m betting that more than half of you don\'t have a Legitimate excuse.

The bottom line is AOL has brought the internet to more people than any other isp.  Therefore, it would only make sense for Sony to partner up with them.
