I think that Resident Evil will Beat Extermination because its the best Horror around and capcom have been making Horrors for ages and this is Sonys first shot at a Horror.  Enough Said :thepimp:

I didnt even know Extermination was a horror game. I thought it was just an action game.

Resident Evil is getting kinda boring. They need to do something new.
Im looking forward to Silent hill2, Alone in the Dark and Devil May Cry more.

Silent Hill beat the undead snot out of Resident Evil. Mindf*ck horror is much better to me than jolt horror.

You are right, RE has only shock effects but in Silent Hill the atmosphere is so great.

I hope Extermination beats Resident Evil, we already know that Resident Evil will be great. Extermination is looking really good I just don\'t want it to flop.

As for Silent Hill vs Resident Evil.

Both great games but I think Resident Evil has the edge, you don\'t think about Resident Evil unlike Silent Hill but the jolt horror is more fun whilst your actually playing the game than the shock horror (in my opinion).

RE:CV is something I\'m really looking forward to, but, I am really excited about Alone in the Dark.  That game looks SWEET.

I also see RE4 showing up on tentative release schedules.  Oooh baby.

I have RECV for Dreamcast and it\'s excellent!  Don\'t miss out on this game when it comes out for PS2.  I also will get Extermination, I saw some screen shots and it looks like a killer game!

I have all four REs. I\'d place em in this order.

#1: RE2. Had the coolest weapons, and the most replayability.

#2: RE1. The scariest of the bunch, the worse voiceacting is what keeps me from rating it #1. No extras.

#3: RE:CV. Maybe because I\'ve been through RE games too many times, but RE:CV just didnt ever scare me.

#4: RE3. This was better for times when I\'d use the gameshark and just go around looking to kill stuff, but compared to the other RE games, it just wasn\'t scary at all.

Psst... Silent Hill rules \'em all:D

I know this is a PS forum, but anyone that has a Dreamcast should check out Illbleed. It got slammed in reviews, but it really is a great game and it is very original. It adds some brand new elements to the survival horror genre, which has become rather "cookie cutter" over the last few years. Seriously, go check it out!

i beg to differ, the first RE had absolutely brilliant atmoshpere, id rate it better than silent hill.  Res Evil 2 and Res Evil three focused more on shocking, but still had some moments of great atmoshpere.  All time fav. horror game is res evil 1 though

I have Biohazard: Code Veronica but haven\'t played the game that much. I consider the game so-so. After playing with Onimusha, B:CV was a letdown. Stopped playing with B:CV after I bought AC2:AA and GT3.
  Looking forward to SH2.
