Damn, ESPN NBA 2Night 2002 looks like it will be the winner of B-Ball on the PS2!!!!!

The game looks exactly marvelous in graphics, I thought I would never get a chance to see a B-Ball game that looks like this, I wish they had a Football game too, or do they.  http://ps2.ign.com/news/34714.html

They do look good apart from the 2nd pic,a they actually all look a bit strange,like they have been painted.
Look at the last pic the shape of the guys arms,it looks like they have been cut and pasted onto a background.

WOW!! This BasketBall game is the best I\'ve seen!!  I have NBA Live 2001 but this one is cool!! I wonder how good the game play.  

Those have been touched up. I can almost guantee you that. Unless there\'s some radically new effect being programmed into the game, and I DOUBT that. Some of those pics look almost like they\'re CellShaded (The slightly dark outline on some of the polygon models) like in JGR.. but why put CellShading type techniques in a game that\'s supposed to look as close to real life as possible. The only thing that springs to mind are very well done touchups in which those odd appearances can\'t be helped.

Just cross your fingers and hope the actual game looks this good.. if not a bit better.

pstwo nailed it with the gameplay question.  I\'ve never seen sports games more hard to appreciate in gameplay than those of b-ball...  Somehow, even football games can get away with less than stellar skating and collision issues.  But with b-ball games such issues can be GLARING and I must reserve my opinion on this one until I play it.  But the pics are incredible...no doubt about that point.

Konami\'s Sports games are crap, look to EA or Sega for your sports games, others just cant compete.

IMO Sega SPorts are too good for all others to compete.

This looks good, but also weird. Certainly touched up.
Almost looks like they used raytracing for the textures and then made them into a matte lambert shader.
Real strange, the 2nd pic looks like the guy comes straight outta the nuthouse :nut:
