anyone have this problem.. my slot 1 controller doesnt seem to work, and my slot 2 works but not during games, only during the intro screen to change the system configuration defaults.. any help on this??

I doubt it\'s this but if you have any memory cards in your memory card slots take them out.. if the controllers work then, it means that you\'ve screwed your mem card..

an you please be a nit more explanatory, i have no idea exactly what your saying, but it you controller slot isnt working doy uo mean you mem card OR you controller slot?

enemytooth.. thx for the reply but that didnt work.. i bought it used, but i just got a gameshark2 today and put that dongle in, but the controllers didnt seem to work i put the dongle in.. any more suggestions?? thx.

my controllers arent responding.. like the game says press start, nothing happens.. controller slot 1 nothing happens, controller slot 2 only works when i\'m in the system configuration menu, not during a game. hope that makes more sense.

Did your PS2 work fine before you put in the gameshark 2?  Maybe the gameshark 2 lock up the ports.

yeah.. it worked fine before i put the gameshark dongle into memory slot 1.. do you know how to \'unlock\' the port? thx.. sorry, i\'m a newbie.

and this is why i never use any type of cheatign devices, cause they will come back to bite you int he a$$ lol

Wait.....maybe you can reset it.  Try unpluging the PS2 from the wall, and wait 2 min.  Then plug it back and turn on the PS2. I hope this works! Try it and post back. :D

I just tho so cuz its not a licensed product.  I have a Sony Pocket Station in my PS2 24/7 and my ports work fine. I save all my PSone games in side.  :D

Hmmm you might wanna try phoning Sony\'s 1-800 number and checking with them. I know this isn\'t the most helpful but I really can\'t think of much else to do. Hope you figure it out.
