Who said E3 only mattered to the fanboys? Along with the previous talk on how the analysts aren\'t happy:

http://pub69.ezboard.com/fgamingageforumsfrm1.showMessage?topicID=504.topic

We now have Infogrames and EA talking openly and slamming Xbox. It looks as if MS are in for one huge struggle. Perhaps its already game over? Will Bill cancel?

Whoa, that some ugly stuff there one of xbox biggest supporters is slamming them.  What do you guys think of this?

EA predicted that Dreamcast would die without their support, and they were right (though it\'s probably more coincidence than anything EA didn\'t do).

One must wonder if they\'ll be right again?

Haha, if there\'s one thing I\'ve learned then it\'s that you can\'t predict the future. I don\'t really care if a 100 companies bashed Xbox - Big Bill has set his mind to succeed, and I think he will... it\'s not like they can\'t afford a little rough playing. I don\'t worry about the death of either next gen console - they\'ll all be cool and they\'ll all sell well. Even despite the people who\'re trying to bash them now. :)

Yeah, lots of people predicted the Playstations death when it first showed up on the scene. There was a lot of "oh look.. it\'s another 3DO!" sentiment going around. Sony proved the anylists wrong though, so you never know what can happen in the next five years.

Why would you \'want\' that, even if you\'re not going to buy the console? That\'s stupid. More competition means lower prices... anyway, a greater selection of consoles and games can never be a bad thing.

Not really. I\'m sure Larry Probst has concerns, but I\'m also convinced it\'s not as severe as that article suggests, since he must of had much more to say about the XBox than those few selected statements. (Choose a few interviews from Hideo Kojima, and he can also be \'made\' to apparantly slam the PS2).

I found this more worrying

Quote

Mr Probst said that he was also concerned about the ability of Flextronics, Microsoft\'s contract manufacturer for the Xbox, to make the 600,000 to 800,000 consoles that Microsoft had promised for the US launch. He said it would take between 60 and 75 days to build the machines, and production needed to start by August 1.

FFS Microsoft what the HELL are you playing at ?

Stop farting about and get the console launched !

Gamers of all formats PS2 and NGC need it to pull the industry out of this pit fall.

xbox will survive trust me ;)

pretty much all the ex segafanboys are now with microsoft + it has pc gamers. This seems like some interest in the console. Remember sony last year? their e3 was crap, developers were angry about the development problems and buggy developing kits....did it effect its launch? Not really...........

I agree with samwise, ms will push soney that they won\'t become lazy :)

I agree sammy... but  telling bobby that may not work. Y\'see, shortly before the demise of the \'dome, our friend bobby developed an evil streak, a pretty damn decent one too and he was out to stop the Xbox leaving the blueprints in MS HQ.... it\'s quite funny some of the stuff he says sometimes

let me just say, i thought I hated MS bad.... but I think we have another winner :D

I do wish either GC and Xbox is launching their games today because that day is where Sony will drop the price of its games and systems, and that will be quite relieving, financially.

hehe that article was such a pile of crap! EA, the most dominant 3rd party developer in the world, is developing for a console that is on it\'s "Death March"???

Please come back with something that has substance!
