Grand Theft Auto 3 is finally starting to shape up and not manage to look like one of the ropiest PlayStation 2 games heading for the all-important Christmas release. The latest shots, released in Los Angeles last week, are looking tasty smart. This may not actually be the disaster the initial images suggested it would be.
Despite the game being developed in Scotland, the UK press has seen virtually nothing of the project, which is slated to ship this September. For all the cave dwellers out there, Grand Theft Auto casts you as a gangster for hire, who has no problems taking on jobs for bosses that almost always involve stealing cars, blowing rivals away with ridiculous weapons and robbing drugs. Traditionally seen from the top-down perspective, the move has been made to full 3D.
The screens are starting to show promise. Take a look.
