Why is the PS2 so poorly constructed.  It\'s of cheap quality, and don\'t get me started on the DVD player, It stinks!:(  Don\'t get me wrong, I love my PS2, it\'s got a great library of games, but it\'s got alot of mediocre, and crap as well.

I agree, but I think all these systems are made cheaply. I\'ve always wanted a system that was made more like my A/V equipment. I guess that\'s just not going to happen. I would be more than willing to pay a little extra.

AS far as Best Buy pushing the Xbox. BBY pays less for each Xbox console than they do for a PS2. Not much of a difference; but its still cheaper nonetheless. Therefore if you buy more accessories with an Xbox BBY makes more money as opposed to a PS2.

Thats why if you try to buy a printer 9 times out of 10 they will tell you to get a Lexmark.

I have worked at BBY off and on for 2 years so I am not speculating here either.

My PS1 still works fine, and I got it on the systems launch.  My PS2 works perfect, but I hear all the horror stories on this forum about problems.  One dude even said he put his system in his freezer hoping his games would play!

Paul you simply wrong

I had a Sega Dreamcast, bought store extended warranty (thank god).  The thing stopped reading games about 3 months into it.  I never did anything stupid to it, it just sat there.  So Sega reliability is questionable.

Xbox has as many problems if not more than PS2.  I know one person who went through 2 PS2 in like a year but then he dont tream them too well.  I have a used PS2 bought 2 months ago, it\'s fine.  I know ppl whose Xbox gave no problems and I know some with horror stories like the thing breaking completely right after 3 months.  My friend\'s starting being wacky with game/DVD discs within a week and is labeled Crap Box by him.

GameCube has a 1 year warranty.  Nuff said.

BTW Xbox chip is a piece of crap.  Do some research on it and see how much of a BS marketing scheme that is.

Well, if you know so much, why not enlighten us on the subject?

(Tom feels ill for defending the X-Box)  :crap:

EDIT: I read your other post in "Flaws of the PS2" , so there\'s no need to explain it again. :snore:

Good thing you read.  BTW the same marketing scheme is used all the time as most ppl just look at the "big" numbers without considering what they mean.

I don\'t feel like reading through the pages but maybe someone else has said this.

THEY ARE TRYING TO GET RID OF THE SURPLUS X-BOXES.
