This forum is... Weird.

For some reason, I keep reading and posting here, even though the bulk of the threads are useless.  Sometimes I wonder why I\'m here, and I think about not bothering anymore.  I think I don\'t really have anything in common with most of you.  Some of you have no problem posting stories about your personal lives, and I\'m very surprised by that.  There\'s no way I would share my personal problems on this forum.  I think that\'s because I don\'t trust the opinions of many of you.

But there are a few individuals I do appreciate, and like to hear from, so I keep reading.  The weird part is I don\'t think the people responsible for the low quality posting are necessarily just the younger members.  There are some young members here who I consider to be among the best posters.  I\'ve noticed they tend to be from outside the United States.  There are also some older members who appear to be arrested in their development.

Maybe I should take the suggestion listed earlier, and start creating more threads.  I think I\'m just hesitant to do that because I don\'t want them to be ruined by spam or be greeted with a thundering silence.

I love coming here. Its a unique forum and different from any of the others (actually one other) that I visit. This place shouldn\'t be altered or acted on because it\'s weird or different.

There is no better gaming forum on the net. Period. Most of the "immaturity" only exists among the Off-Topic forums, and that is expected. A solution to attracting more mature members or starting intelligent conversations can be done by creating a "Debate Forum" that branches off OT and can be used to discuss world events or issues. Or you can ban theomen.

I agree. What keeps me here is that I\'m not the kind of person who moves around constantly to the new best thing. I\'m very loyal, maybe too much. I\'ll be with these forums until they die.

Coredweller, I don\'t know what you think of me (and I guess that\'s irrelevant), but I consider you one of THE best posters here. I agree with your opinions 99 out of a 100 times.

As for the \'immature\' posters here in OT ##RaCeR## - that\'s just when people are having fun and letting loose. You can\'t say a damn thing about people by reading OT threads. It\'s what people do when they\'re being serious, that matters.

this whole place is turning to crap i know im not the most mature member here but why is there only 5-6 threads worth posting in a week too many kids lowering the maturity level to the point where its impossible to carry on a serious conversation

I don\'t think there\'s enough posting. If I find a thread useless I move on.

BTW, I\'m probably old enough to be the the father of some of you punks and I still find a lot of the stuff here funny. I guess I might be one of the older guys here with arrested development.

Thanks Sammy, I was talking about you when I mentioned high quality posters.  I think I will start a thread asking people to name who they consider to be good posters.  That way all the lame spammers and ass rapers will be shamed when they don\'t appear in the thread!
