i proved that they have...."will" is down the road.

also named two games when you claimed there were none
could have listed more, but that would be futile

MLB 2k7, F.E.A.R

omg its so proven that the 360 is better than the ps3...

i mean..based on two games..how much proof do you need. It\'s not like more than the hardware goes into making a game look good..this guy,lol..think theres other factors that make a good looking game than good hardware

it was implied. The reason those 2 games you brought up are better on the ps3 than the 360 is because of the hardware...the whole point of this thread is about hardware

What im getting at is there\'s more reasons than the cell that those games look better on the ps3 than the 360..same reason why those 2 games on the 360 look better than the ps3 versions

the massive 256mb of system memory in the PS3 perhaps?

MLB 2k7, F.E.A.R framerates are dev issues, not hardware related.

Who makes games? Devs? If Devs can\'t properly use CELL, what is the point of CELL?

There\' s no way to define an absolute to claim \'proper\'  use of Cell. It\'s a totally arbitrary factor ; which will become more and more evident with games which have been coded exclusively for PS3.

Besides, it\'s the \' sum\'  of factors which makes PS3 game development work, including artistic direction ( for example ; devs can make a conscious decision to use a certain low contrast color palette to which helps lessen aliasing effect ; thus this artistic direction is technically driven )

The 4MB vram in PS2\'s GSX was also bashed for a long time.... devs learned to use tricks like vertex blending to seamlessly use less amount of textures, doing more detail in geometry ; the EE \'s strength.

We can already see PS3\'s benefits here & there in easy handling of layered animation (Uncharted) and many huge levels without much loading ; seamless game worlds ; in contrast to Gears of War\'s engine which is limited to UE3\'s block per block design ; it\'s not a continues seamless 3D world.

RSX is not limited to 256MB btw. It can access system RAM as well. The Cell is what cant access from RSX\'s VRAM.

Its just an adaptation period. It is a matter of time and although a great deal of developers dont seem to use it proberly there are others that are already adapting and do wonderful things.

This developer sdk price cut was about time : http://www.gamesindustry.biz/content_page.php?aid=30736

a more significant by Sony step than the 40Gb model/consumer pricecut AND the backing out of Cell development.
