Sounds like a couple other former fast food workers took offense to your comment VS...
Actually, I never worked in fast food. My first job was an office job at the Gap fixing their PC\'s for that whole Y2K thing. At the time, \'99, I made $10/hour, not too bad for a first job.
I just respect the people who do work at restaurants, delivery places, janitors, all of those professions that most people think are "lower end" particularly since when i was a little youngling, my mom busted her ass working 2 jobs at a fast food mexican place and delivering pizzas for a local pizza parlor. You can\'t possibly imagine how shi*ty it must be to drive a fairly big distance, possibly even get lost, deliver the pizza, and then have the ass give you exact change. Let alone the fact that she worked the late shift for the mexican food place and have to deal with all the drunks who came in.
Ever since then, I have made an effort to ALWAYS tip EVERYONE who waits on me in any capacity. Even if I drive in for take out, I still tip. It\'s my way of showing thanks and respect for the work these people do.
