Forgive me b/c I don\'t know all the meanings but,

2/0 is just 2 channel right?
and there\'s a 3/0 and a 1/0.  So what are those?

Every 1.0 stands for ONE Speaker... the .1 is allways the Sub !
So 1.0 is MONO and 2.0 is Stereo !
3.0 is Left, Right and Center. 5.1 are all Speakers and a Sub.
STOP...
Do you have a SONY Receiver ???
b/c here it´s a bit different...
They say 3/2 is 3 front speakers (l, r, c) and two rear (rl, rr)
3/1 is normal surround and 2/0 is stereo...
Please, read you manual ! I can´t explain it all to you... ;)

Yeah I got a Sony receiver; brand new.  I checked and they have a table which is very unreadable and doesn\'t help very much.  Thanks for the info.  I was mainly concerned that my system wasn\'t configured right.
