Looks like your head is up your ass. I\'d shoot myself if there wern\'t any Tetris fans on this board, that game was huge . Adults and kids enjoyed that game because it was fun and challenging. your statement was very ignorant. Saying fanboys would like it is just plain dumb. Thats like saying FFX will only appeal to fanboys.

I guess the 30million++ people who bought the original Tetris were all fanboys and kiddies right?

If the only purpose of this thread was to draw out Trintius it has failed MM;)
. I\'ve said it before and I\'ll say it again, in terms of ingenuity, exclusivity, and console competition, X-Box brings nothing to the table except a fat wad of cash and some rehashed PC components wrapped with a DC controller and a plastic black box.----RYU

(note to self do not meantion the word Kiddie and Nintendo in the same post , look ooseven i know it\'s hard but you realy must try, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS ANOTHER POKEMON GAME COMMING FOR THE KIDS  ).

just beacuse i won\'t bend over and let Nintendo so stuff that would make The Village people CRY  :crying: ?

Look it\'s simple MATH !

$90 + $30 for an "ADVANCED" Handheld and a very limited amount of Orinional games ?

yeah oh i just can\'t what to play tetris again but this time with a few more Colours and on the move.

if you realy want that game that much my not splash out on a 2nd hand Gameboy Classic ?

I will be buying one for my fiance who does plenty of freelance work and is on the road often. I think game boy\'s are cool, and will certainly do my share of gaming on it.

The price for the GBA and the games is not that expensive in this day and age. If you want cheap games there is always pick-up sticks & lincoln logs :)

I also agree with several members in that Nintendo or 2-D games are NOT just kid games. We all know a games success is in the \'fun\' factor which is certainly not limited to 3-D games w/blood, cursing, and sex.

This statement shows that you do not know much about the GBA. The same can be said about the PS2(Plus about $200). The GBA has EVERY major developer that is working on the PS2 and then some.

If you expect the GBA to make you coffee, I can only imagine what you want your PS2 to do. ;)

Oh yeah, just like Fanyboys and kiddies were the only ones who bought Final Fantasy Anthology, Midway Arcade Classics, Namco Museum Vol. 1-3, Intellivision Classics, and are now drooling over Chrono Tigger and Final Fantasy 4 re-releases. Need I remind you that those were $30-50 games for a $300 system, a system which is far from being portable.

But the GBA isn\'t just about recycled ports. Sure, here at the lauch there\'s several ports of SNES games that people have been saying they\'d love to see GBA, but once those are out of the way we\'re going to see a lot of original content. Already we\'re getting a new 2D Castlevania game (and anyone who\'s not excited about that, needs to be slapped), a new Tactics Ogre game, a new Fire Emblem game, plus totally original games like Golden Sun and Magical Vacation (don\'t let the name throw you, it\'s an RPG made by some of the original SoM team and in the same style as SoM).

But hey, if you don\'t want a GBA, go knock yourself out with a Wonderswan. You\'ll save about $20 on the system, spend the same ammount on games, have about 10% of the 3rd party support, and get good NES graphics. It\'s not really not a bad little system. I\'d probably get one if it ever came out in the US.

Wow, that was a great comeback. Because you, personally, don\'t like handheld gaming, you think that they only people that are going to buy it and like it are kids and fanboys? If thats what you think... No, I don\'t think you\'d be that stupid to think that.

Oh, yeah, nice screenshot you posted. That must be the cream of the crop, there.

Thats like going and posting one of those Japanese PS2 launch crappy 3rd party games, displaying its pictures, and saying the same thing.

Here are a few other screenshots that show the power of the GBA better:

These are some of the other titles that definately look better than that simple Tetris screenshot. And I\'ll say this again: Its not going to be just the SNES over again! Sure, there are going to be a lot of ports and sequels, but you\'re going to see a ton of new games. Add in the fact that its portable, more powerful, has a ton of developer support, will have lots of home-developer support, is backwards compatible, and has online play, and you have a potentially fun gaming system with a future.

Stuff like this really makes me mad--Right, I\'m a fanboy because I\'ll be getting one of the best gaming machines in the next generation. Okay, it doesn\'t do 3D a whole lot! Big whoop! Get your awesome 3D on the PS2, the GBA is going to bring back all that awesome 2D fun and old-style gameplay that was lost (some of it, at least) with the advent of 3D. Me like fireworks, and I\'m getting a PS2. I\'m a fanbo...

It is. He just showed a really bad screenshot of the system\'s capabilties.

You don\'t get it--Its not just a port-box. Heck, with the amount of developers on the GBA, even if they did port every worth while game, they\'d run out of titles to port in a big hurry.

All the games 3rd parties can make.

There will be many original titles. And if you look at the ports that are announced now, almost all of them will include more levels, tracks, characters, etc....
