Thats Probabily why all the old 2D Snes games are getting a "relaunch".
There will be a lot of \'relaunched\' games on the GBA but there will be a lot [more] sequels, or games based on the SNES games with more added to them (ie: Mario Advanced is based on the graphics and gameplay of Mario 2, but its not just a port--theres lots of new stuff and levels if I remember right).

Zelda on the GBA is the only realy "good" thing going for it but still, why buy it a second time?
You won\'t be buying them for the second time. They won\'t just be ports, they\'ll be new games. They might use the same engines or graphics, but they\'ll be new games or games with lots of changes to them. I like the thought of playing Mario, Zelda, Metroid, MegaMan on the GBA.
Why play that kind of money for a HANDHELD when i can just dust off my Snes i have in storage ?
Because you can\'t take the SNES, or any other console for that matter, on the road with you, into school or work, and then shove it into your pocket when you\'re done. Besides, the SNES is dead--the GBA isn\'t. It has the best support of any system out there and there will be plenty of new ideas and games out there.

Look at the big successeshat the Sega CD and 32X were! Add-ons aren\'t a good idea, and I don\'t think the CD add-on for the SNES would have been any better. You say that they missed the boat now because sony did awesome with the psx, but it was a good business decision for them back in the SNES days.

Riiiiight. I\'m sure Nintendo needs your comments when they\'re coming off the success of the GBC. The GBA will sell awesome, it will play awesome, and there will be many awesome games for it.

Excuse me, but Nintendo is not continuing to alienate older gamers. If anything, they are trying to reach both of the markets (heck, they did buy SK, didn\'t they?).
Other systems have there budget ranges for example the value range in the UK wher you can pick up a Brand new relaunched PSX game for about £10.

Yes, they shouldn\'t have gone with the cartridge format, but they did. I\'m sure it was their intent to release games far and in between only to the kiddy market for the whole N64\'s life.
the saturn fall by the way side only to be replaced by the superb Dreamcast a few short years later. The Dreamcast out sells the Nintendo and Playstation but then we all know what happened next.

I don\'t really care if someone laughs at me if I buy a GBA. The SNES was my fav system of all time. With games like Zelda, Metroid, SOM, etc... what could go wrong?
And now you have the best support of any system, even the support of Sega and [possibly] Square... On a more advanced system that is very capable. To top it off, it has online capabilities, its backwards compatible, and its a very easy system to develop for. Can anyone say homebrewn games? There is going to be a ton of GBA DEV sites out there. This will be my first system to develop for because it uses C++, I believe.

Got my fingers well and trully burned with the N64, and the feasco of having to buy a RAM upgrade inoder to play the full game of Perfect dark.
The N64 was in a way disappointing to me, also. But still, there are a lot of games I like.
The ReHASH launch of some hopless games on as suposed Next gen HANDHELD dose not impress me at all. Yup they will look exactly the same but we want £30
each forthem.

Nintendo has always targeted the "younger" age group and shyed way from more mature titles, just look at conkers bad fur day for example.

They hand it over? Misinformation. First of all, Rareware does publlish a lot of their games. Second of all, the release of the title in Europe would have been pointless due to the fact of the cost of translation, etc...
Look at the "remodle" of the N64, yeah leats make it have a pokemon theme that will attract the older games to play with perfect dark.
The remodel of the N64 was meant for kids, and only for kids. I bet it sold a lot, too. (I have to say I am disappointed that they haven\'t released a newer, sleaker model, at least yet.)
i am sorry but in my eyes Nintendo are as Evil as Disney, they will suger cost anything if there is profit to be had.

I\'m excited about the GBA for many reasons...
As I said above, the SNES was my favorite system of all time, and It will probably stay that way. With some of my favorite games on it, like Metroid, Mario, Zelda, SOM, etc... I dunno.
