Here is my problem

What i don\'t object to is nintendo making kiddie games on the GBA will not take anything away fron the Game Cube.

But what i do Object to is the continual alienation of any gamer over 14 and trying to rip us of, Nintendo must be trying to win anward for shooting themself in the foot.

Other systems have there budget ranges for example the value range in the UK wher you can pick up a Brand new relaunched PSX game for about £10.

Nintendo are going for the even older game for £30

As if we are going to fall for that again.


Nintendo Playstation ( Nah lets Crap on Sony)
SONY gets pissed of and carries on with the project to launch the SONY PLAYSTATION, a CD cbased console with the name that NINTENDO where going to use.
There are around 57 million PSX world wide now, nintendo gets bitter and reveals the launch of the N64

The launch of the N64 with a cartrage system while Sony and Sega have CD base ones (playstation and Saturn). What do they do Crap on all of us by an extreme height by releaseing a very slow line of expensive kiddie games (everyone else has to wait years for ZELDA and Perfect dark )
the saturn fall by the way side only to be replaced by the superb Dreamcast a few short years later. The Dreamcast out sells the Nintendo and Playstation but then we all know what happened next.


Nintendo tryes for the Final Fantasy 7 after a long line of them, Again they crap on Squaresoft and they hand over a N64 project to The Playstation, FF7 then gose on to be one of the all time greats and imspires a whle batch of RPG\'s to appear on the PSX.

And all the while gamers over 14 are finding it hard to find a more mature game to play on the N64

Adult games on the N64 you can count them on one hand

Again i can tell you this...
The GBA will be the UK leading Handheld, but then again when it is launched in the UK the only other handheld will be THE GAME BOY COLOUR !

and you will be laughed at if you are over 14 when you buy it.

So? Up until this generation, you got laughed at if you were over 14 and bought a console.

GBA will do to handheld gaming what this generation (PS) did to console gaming: Take it truly mainstream.

Don\'t start with the Nintendo kiddy crap, that\'s just the stupidest argument and shows people\'s true shallowness.

Got my fingers well and trully burned with the N64, and the feasco of having to buy a RAM upgrade inoder to play the full game of Perfect dark.


The ReHASH launch of  some hopless games on as suposed Next gen HANDHELD dose not impress me at all. Yup they will look exactly the same but we want £30
each forthem.

if you realy want them games you can pick up a SNES and a whole batch of games for a fraction of the price.
i could get you a SNES Plaus 20 games for under £100
even less if you look harder.

Nintendo has always targeted the "younger" age group and shyed way from more mature titles, just look at conkers bad fur day for example.

The hand it over becasue they do not want to be lables releaseing a mature game.

Look at the "remodle" of the N64, yeah leats make it have a pokemon theme that will attract the older games to play with perfect dark.

i am sorry but in my eyes Nintendo are as Evil as Disney, they will suger cost anything if there is profit to be had.

What about Ogre Battle 64, Rouge Squadron, Battle for Naboo, or Madden 2001. Oh yeah, I forgot, those games don\'t have any blood or sex in them. Adults (or people who like to think they are) can\'t play games without blood and sex in them. Nevermind that 15 years everybody, adults and children alike, played games like Mario and Zelda, because that\'s just not good enough anymore. Now that we\'ve seen the glory of games like Night Trap, there\'s no going back.

Let me back up GameBoy a bit.

I will buy it. If I have money. This decision has its roots deep in my childhood, and maybe the acts I did lead me to this decision, who knows?
I actually buy this handheld for its pure nostalgia, and the love I have in Nintendo. Don\'t talk about respect. Conker\'s Bad Fur Day drove the respect towards Nintendo 64 away for good. I still respect Nintendo \'tho.

Maybe I loved Starfox and Mario Kart and all those games ( being kiddish you say ) because I was a Kid. But I grew into them, literally. And today I can\'t judge them because they\'re supposed to be kiddish. Maybe it\'s a fact. They are. But does the fact change your judgement? They\'re great games nonetheless.

Nintendo 64 was a console I didn\'t like. I didn\'t like it, but kiddishness had nothing to do with it. I just didn\'t like the blurry graphics and over-priced games + the lack of 3rd party developers.

GameBoy Advanced just is my dreams come true. A handheld to play your favourite Snes games with. I just hate emulators, but Snes emulators have been the only way to play my old games after good-ol\' snes broke. Now I will buy GBA just to experience the Snes refreshed, and in handheld form

Regardless of how 6 or 7 of you feel about Nintendo and the GBA. It will sell re-gawd-damn-diculously and be around long enough to torment you and your children into old age.

I would much rather have a GBA that I can play while I fly across country without changing the batteries over a GameGear/Lynx/Wonderswan that I can only get to the runway before the batteries are low.

You guys are acting like there are going to be no good games on this thing. EVERYBODY is working on it. This is an excellent financial endeavor for developers. This is a piece of hardware that can generally have more than twice the installed userbase of any console and that, to me, is amazing in itself.

Im 25 years old so this is not a problem for me, handhelds-not interested.

It\'s the return of 2D gaming.  It has been perfected and will shine on the GBA.  After the "rehashes", companies will begin to produce new games and you\'ll be sorry you don\'t have one.  

I\'m 19 and I can\'t wait to get a GBA.  I like 2D games alot, and I can\'t see anywhere else I can get them.

Well, I think I like the GBA for one reason, it\'s getting a heck of a lot of games.  Sure a lot of old re-made games, but some new ones too.  I don\'t expect to be buying one right away though.  Not worth it to me.  Now, what\'s worth it to me has got to be the]

PSONE.......

You see, If you buy this and an LCD screen it will probably cost you a nice total of $200, or if you get a really nice LCD screen it could cost you even up to $250.  It is a lot but well worth it to me.
This puppy is the way to travel.  As long as you\'ve got a cigaretter lighter power input in your car or a power converter you can take it anywhere.  In practically all airlines they also have those lighter plug-ins underneath your seat so you can still play it on airplanes too.  

In other words,  I\'d rather be playing FF9 or RE2 then Super Mario Brothers 2 made for the original Nintendo.  Playstation has been my favorite system of all time and the PSONE was my dream come true.  

So if I really wanted to go back to old-school video gaming, then I can buy a GBA, which I probably will eventually.  But, if I didn\'t want to go back I would get a PSONE.  Anyone else feel this way?  Just curious....
