Hey sue me. I like Meryl and I do hope she\'s somewhere in the sequel. Why does the story *have to* follow her death? In my game I did rescue her. Oh well,.. I hope they at least mention her. They already mentioned Naomi + Mei Ling in the demo.

No dude. Meryl had better be still dead without a role in MGS 2. That\'s THE reason why Snake looks so worn out.
( Maybe a flashback of Snake remembering her would be nice though )
He is now a bitter man regretting her death for all those years.
Remember at the end of mgs what Otacon says; "Life\'s not all about loss you know".
I guess Snake couldn\'t get over it though and it\'s cool to see how he suffered :all those years and became more bitter and badass in MGS2.
I really hope Kojima does NOT repeat \'the romance thang\' in MGS2 ,i. e.  ;
Snake and that Olga Gurlukovich woman ( If he uses the M9 and spares her life that is....).
That would be repeating the mgs story and thus weaking it. I find it not so good that in the Japanese version they use the Meryl voice actress again for Olga.
It\'s strange to have a new charactre with the same voice of a dead person of a previous game, isn\'t it ?

in the codec there a 8 boxes for memory of people I can never figure out who the last one is for.  I\'ve always got the colonel, mei ling, nastasha, master, meryl, deepthrought, and otacon

I have tried the mgs2 codec numbers but nothing happenes. I always think there is something new  to discover in the demo. I have already found alll of it (alot!)
