David Hayter to return to MGS2---Confirmed!!!

After months of anxious waiting, it\'s now been confirmed that David Hayter will indeed return as the American voice actor for Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Joining him will be Christopher Fritz returning as Otacon and Patric Laine reprising his role as Revolver Ocelot, or "Shalashaska" as he is called in all Metal Gear Solid 2 material thus far. Whether or not any other cast members from Metal Gear Solid will return remains to be seen, but the signing of these three voice actors is a positive sign that Konami of America is working to make sure the key vocal aspect remains constant into the sequel.[/E]

Why do people expect to see Meryl; Otacon is alive = Meryl\'s dead. Oops, possible spoiler for people who haven\'t played the original. But heck, who hasn\'t, shame on you. The only way to get Meryl in the game is to totally f**k up the storyline, and I think Kojima is quite sharp when it comes to keeping the story together.

hawke have you ever played policenauts??..Well in that game (wich\'s time period is about 2040ish) meryll appears as a character and yes its the same one with the same hair and smae tatoo, so meryll is not dead! Otagon got saved by the us miliray at the end of mgs2 (it is mentioned in the game) so it should be obious that meryl will be in the game

So Meryl\'s for MG what Cid is for FF? What would her role be? Is Meryl a 60-70 year old hag in policenauts? If not, she\'s just this sort of insider joke, and probably won\'t have any significant part in MGS2. Even in MGS Meryl was merely a filling to bring some more drama into the story.

If there\'s someone I\'d like to see again, it\'d have to be Grey Fox. Too bad he\'s a pancake nowadays. Maybe we\'ll see another ninja-type character in MGS2.

I have always had high hopes for MGS2 but the only thing holding me back was the fact that Hayter wasn\'t gonna do Snake\'s voice. Now I am relieved beyond belief. Hayter is doing the voice, and I am sooooooooooooo f*cking happy!
