Halo - 30fps? A huge disappointment for me.

From what I have heard is the Red Faction is suffering from frame rate drop-off (ie: sub-30fps moments, once you get below 20fps things get pretty bad).

Hmmmmm i play a lot of Team Fortress with a 56k modem and i am used to lag, so this fream rate problem will just seam as if i am playing online on my PC.....lol

God i hate 56k modems i wish i had Cable or ADSL !

look i know some people can get a great ping with a 56k modem but for me ISP and onnection it runs like a DOG.

i dont think those modem accelerators work.... do you hav 2 lines 1 for homecalls and one for faxes?
im getting rid of one phone line and my dailup and getting a dsl which does all of that for $4 american more...
i wouldnt trust modem accelerators...
wait. i just remembered.. if you want satelite tv, with a broadband conn. to the net... you can get it. and you can send stuff to the net fast too... now if i only could find it... its in the latest popular science magazine.. like $200 for sat. tv and internet..(broadband..)
go pick up the latest issue of pop sci... it should have it in the "whats new" section.

p.s bad ping is caused usually by overloaded servers...
(there are many in the "zone" gaming service by MICROSOFT)

Thanks for the info mate but it looks like i have to wait till the Broadband Rev\' is wide spread in the UK .

Have you ever played a version of Tekken3 on PAL and then on NTSC?...there is one hell of a difference in the frame rate.  Anyone who not understand the difference in frame rate should take this a good example.

Also check out the difference between TTT and DOA2.  The frame rate is the only reason that I did not buy TTT and bought DOA2 instead.
