Confirmation on Xbox\'s power compared to ps2

LA said that the xbox has twice as much memory as the PS2. This says to me that they dont know how to use the PS2.
The PS2 uses streaming for it\'s textures so you dont need much memory. Dont get me wrong. I\'m not saying the xbox isnt more powerful than the PS2, I just dont think LA are using the PS2 the way it is supposed to be used.

tehy\'re not talking vram here, but (I think) main ram, of which ps2 has 32 and xbox has 64, but the xbox has to use those 64 for multiple purposes, so I don\'t think 2x more ram is the right thing to say

Maybe you don\'t know what a AAA title is? A triple A title is a game that you know just buy it\'s name that is one of the best games you will ever get on that game system.  Besides SC, gt, RE, tEKKEN, ffx and mgs. You can\'t name those others has AAA titles because you have not even yet to play any of those games. You have no idea how the game play is and how the games actually feel. And there is no way for me to know what AAA titles will be on xbox except doa3 the name alone guarantee\'s a awesome fighter. So until you know don\'t speculate what will be a killer and what will not because you don\'t know.

We will see which console is the best.

This thread has gotten pretty long so I\'ll just take the "random thought" route.

1:  I think that the new PS2 Alien game in development looks very close to the indoor levels in Halo.

2:  IMO, RE4 does not count as a AAA title.

3:  Halo\'s frame rate issues should be played down until we see it on final hardware.

4:  I don\'t believe that LA got anywhere near the full power of the PS2 and so it makes their Xbox comments moot.  If the team has worked on PC titles before then they have an advantage on the Xbox.

How does RE4 not classify as an "AAA" title? It is a huge franchise that is always great.

lol  Fair enough, but sales aside, I think any series that has been milked as much as RE can no longer count as AAA.

datamage- Funny how everyones dissing Halo. I saw the video of the HALF DONE game on INCOMPLETE hardware, and I was plenty impressed. It looked great for a FPS (a rather shallow genre to begin with).
