Best looking 32-bit game?
« on: June 02, 2001, 10:41:33 PM »
FMV sequences are welcome, let\'s just not turn this into a Square fest, shall we? :) Ingame prowess of games is ALSO appreciated.

Panzer Dragoon Saga -

The game with the best textures out of any 32-bit game IMO, a glimpse...

All Sega woulfd have to do is make this game high-res, upp the polys a tad and they would have one of the best looking games period. There NEEDS to be a Panzer compilation when they release the new one on X-Box!
A funny gesture.

Gran Turismo, Wipeout 3 and Soul Reaver in no particular order.
A schizophrenic patient will not allow anyone to touch them; not because they would do them some harm, but because they might electrocute them.

wipE\'out" 2097. I don\'t know what is it about this game, but I think it still is the most impressive 32-bit game I\'ve played. There\'s something unique in the presentation and the overall feeling once you get into the game. Pretty colours, graphical and sound effects with real balls, insane speed, everything seemed to be right with this title. The backgrounds are also awesome, huge skyscrapers, jungles, floating track-complexes... It was just stunning at the time. And still is. Nothing compares to the feeling of finishing a perfect race on any of the gorgeous tracks in this game. Dammit. Now I wanna have a go a Sagarmatha again, and I rented the damn game to a friend... egh... ugh... aaag, withdrawal... symptoms... kicking... in... *turns into a big green monster* Hawke smash! *pummels his way through the nearest wall*

cough, post pictures!! I don\'t care about any of your claims if I can\'t SEE them. :)

Also, Bobby, FF7,8,9, etc are pre-rendered, heck, ANY pre-rendered game looks good, look at AITD4, it loos better than all three of those, yet it is still not realtime backrounds! So they dont count, muhhahaha!

Street Fighter Zero 3 for Saturn was the best looking out of all the conversions, of course. -

LOL!

But its true, XBox is a 32-bit console.
You have to wonder wtf the XBox design crew were smoking when they decided to use a 32-bit processor. This is the 128-bit generation afterall.
