What\'s the deal? Why is there no Adventure/Interactive Fiction option? It\'s one of the oldest genres, and one that helped create the game market we enjoy today. Don\'t you think that it\'s viable anymore? Or do you just assume all of us enjoy rotting our brains on mindless hack & slash/Blood & Gore shooters? (I notice you left Puzzle games off your list too!)

(BTW: I don\'t mean to sound pissy, but I get irritated when people think a game requires a good mix of Boomsticks, Blood, & Boobies to be good.)

Eh, don\'t worry about it. Honestly, in a console forum, I don\'t expect many people to put brain twisting games ahead of mind numbing twitch games anyhow.

I voted for RPG\'s.... it\'s just the deepest, and IMO most rewarding genre, as a gamer. No other game can get you as deep into a storyline as an RPG, and no other game can captivate gamers like them. This is all in my opinion though... other people will think other things of course
Probably the earliest flyswatters were nothing more than some sort of striking surface attached to the end of a long stick.

I voted for games that combine elements from different geners.
My favourite games are Action/Adventures with RPG elements [a little horror maybe] such as System Shock2,Deus Ex...
But I like Racing almost equally.

Geez, I\'m surprised that the "Games that combine ideas from more than one gener" isn\'t winning. RPGs get boring after a while IMO. Press, wait, press, wait, press, wait, walk through a boring dungeon, enemy appears from nowhere, press, wait, press, wait, and this keeps repeating. I\'m surprised that I didn\'t go mad from this! Not many RPGs keep me coming back for more. After I beat it once, then I\'m done with it. I know what happens in the story and I don\'t want to repeat the press and wait cycle over again for no reason.
Sometimes a great RPG will come along and I might play it more than once, but that doesn\'t hasen\'t been happening lately. RPGs now a days barely have ANY replay value IMO.

To tell you the truth, I\'m a fan of no genre really. If a game is good and has a lot of replay value then I\'ll buy it, simple as that. I hated fighting games but I enjoyed Soul Caliber, I hate racing games but I liked Wave Race.

Anyways, I voted a game that mixes elements from other genres. Super Metroid, Zelda, the two Mario RPGs, and Conker 64 are the first ones that pop into my head. I like innovation, but only if the gameplay is good.
