And now his parents are sueing because they say its Cokes fault and not their dumb ass kids fault for tipping the machine over..

Why won\'t people take responsiblity for their actions anymore...  Just another example of people not taking responsibilty for what they do...

Personally, I think its the PS2\'s fault. Its ability to work both standing up and on its side makes kids think everything can do that. Since it works better on its side, expect more vending machine tippings.

I don\'t think it\'s a matter of people not taking responsibility.  I think it\'s just a case of pure greed.  Their ridiculous suit will be turned back by the jury (if it goes that far), but not before they waste a huge amount of their community\'s money on the court proceedings. This whole family should have coke machines dropped on them.

This reminds me of so many other pointless, money-eating, stoopid, cases.  Like when that lady spilled hot coffee on herself.  They should have suicide type booths, that have a button that says, "DO NOT PUSH."  Then, when the ignorant walk by, they push the button, and we get rid of \'em.  Oh, and above it should be some sign that states something in the fact that if a person pushes the button no one can sue on the effects of the outcome.

I assume you didn\'t see the old lady who won tons of cash for spilling hot coffee on herself and saying it\'s McDonald\'s fault for not putting a warning on the cup.



You have to really try hard to pull a coke machine down. I mean Real hard.  A snack machine maybe, but a coke machine is very heavy.  The kid did it knowing what could happen.  

This is just another example of God\'s way of weeding out the stupid people.

That\'s a very sad story. How\'d he kncok the thing over anyway? Those things are very heavy. It\'s not Coke\'s fault the boy got killed, but maybe they\'ll make anti-tipping vending machines in the near future so this won\'t happen again. Imagine the fright on the kid\'s face... I bet he wouldn\'t have done it again if he had lived. He would be so frightened of vending machines. But he died, and that\'s very sad...doesn\'t mean he deserved to die, just because he was doing something stupid...

what an idiot. I have never seen any form of vending machine, whether it be of coke, pepsi, candy, or condom, not have a warning that say DO NOT TIP, injury or death will occur!

While this kid obivously didn\'t deserve to die, he diddeserve to get a kneeap smashed or something. If the parents win, I am moving to Sweden, where at least the ignorant people there can\'t be sued.

From what I understand is that he was on a drinking bindge and tipped the machine over when he was drunk..  I don\'t know why the parents dont sue the alcohol company too for getting their kid drunk..  people are truely retarded..
