WoW i think that looks ****ing amazing, the games are starting to loook more and more like movies now, what why all the different camara angles, and things like that.

This game has just shot right near the top of my most wanted list now,i really carnt wait to have games like this, and FFX and silent hill 2,MGS2 ,god i dont think i need another console this generation now!:bounce: :bounce: :fro: :bounce:

p.s why is it that when people look at a ps2 screen shot, they say look at all the jaggies, and that game looks ****,but as soon as it comes to another system they say ohhh dont trust screen shots, and it is always the same people that say it!(not nameing any names here!):(
On the 15 of March 2002, i was going to leave these forums for good.
But on the 16 of March i realised i couldn\'t ever say bye to you guys, so i am staying here for good!

Does anyone think that the Ps2 is capable of the non-games shots, to eventually be real-time?  The present in-game shots are nice, the backgrounds seem to be a lil drab/empty.  But of course these are early shots.

What is game developers designed consoles?
« Reply #21 on: July 27, 2001, 08:03:52 AM »
If they did, would the Ps2 have had the amount of memory that it has, would the Saturn have been more of a 3-d machine than a 2-d.(The last statement came from an article where i read that the saturn was geared towards 2-d, more so than 3-d, as Sega didn\'t think 3-d would take off).  If Sony would have consulted Polyphony, would they have added more memory.  I know these are a lot of "if\'s", but I\'m curious to know what U all think.

Also wut can we all learn from this Generation?

Basically game developers / console devlopers work hand-in-hand, with complimentary timelines.

To better answer this lets turn to the computing world:

Computers start with graphics engine A.
Developers make games for A, then push A to it\'s limit.
Once they push it to the limit, Computer makes come out with graphics engine B.
Developers make games for B, and the cycle continues.

Why does it go like this?  Well, If the graphic people made a mega-super engine that was really expensive, not many people would buy the engine, and developers wouldn\'t program for it because the majority of people won\'t be able ot play it.  So the gamers just max out the previous one, slowing down frame rates and such, things that we hate.  When this happens the demand for this new super-engine grows, and as the developers see the new market open, they start to produce the engines.  Now that most of the population has this engine, the game developers can be confident of high sales and make games for the new super-engine.

Does that make any sence to anyone?

but why the **** do we have to have Anime characters.

I know people like it but I loathe the Anime look.

WOuld like to see the game in action with some lengthy FFX quality MPEGS  ( you know those monster sized  ones)

I\'ll probably end up playing it cause the game story and concept sound really cool, anmd thats what its all about anyways

The Xenogears series is based on an anime style.  If Xenosaga had real characters, it would be like Toy Story 3 using real actors and puppets.
