What movies do you wish were on DVD that aren\'t?

Here\'s a quick and short list as I am out the door.

  • Back to te Future Trilogy
  • Karate Kid Trilogy (the 4th junk doesn\'t count - and yes I like the movies) (I\'ve seen the first one on DVD but not the rest.)
  • Indiana Jones Trilogy
  • SW Trilogy (eventually we\'ll get them)
  • Akira (well it\'s happening this Tues)
  • Fist of the North Star (there were some prints before Streamline went outta business but I want it remade)
  • Golgo 13: The Professional (Maybe Urban Vision will re-make and release?)
  • Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie (the real uncut Japanese version. Not the pathetic version Renegade distributed.)
That\'s all I can think of for the moment. Will add more later.

What do you guys want?

Here are a few that I wish were available on DVD, in no particular order.  This list is of course not complete:

  • Paris, Texas [1984]
  • Where Eagles Dare [1969]
  • Ice Station Zebra [1968]
  • The Empire Strikes Back [1980]
  • The Commitments [1991] (In a widescreen version)
  • Alive [1993]
  • Year of the Dragon [1985]
  • Heaven\'s Gate [1980] (In an anamorphic version)
  • Scarface [1983] (Need a better transfer!)
  • Dragonslayer [1981]
  • Koyaanisqatsi [1984]
  • Powaqqatsi [1988]  (They\'re probably waiting until after Naqoyqatsi is completed in 2002 to release all three on DVD)

I believe we\'ll eventually get Indiana Jones as well - or at least I truly hope so! Spielberg can\'t be so stupid as to let Indy\'s slip. But I believe they\'re re-released on DVD\'s when the new Indy comes into theaters. We might have to wait for a loooong time...

I read somewhere that there are ongoing negotiations for the Back to the Future Trilogy.. wtf. I want them now.

The Goonies, but it\'ll be out August 21st! Oh yeah, the latest OPSM had a blurb about the Indiana Jones movies being released sometime soon...
