Talking about the picture, not the box.  Yes it is a shame, they should be more creative and have a little bit more added to distinguish it from the PS2 counterpart.

They took the exact same DESIGN and STYLE..

What are you talking about?  The box it self is a DVD case with the Xbox logo and an ERSB rating... beyond that everything is FOX\'s design.

It\'s just the same as CvsSNK2 having the same box art for the Dreamcast and PS2 version.  There is no reason for it to be different.

See where it says PLAYSTATION2?? (white text with blackbackground)

Looks like MS just took a PS2 cover, and pased the Xbox logo over the PS2 text..

Im talking about the layout.. (PS2 and Xbox covers almost look the same in layout.. Soon we cant see the diffrance between the boxes..(AND im NOT talking about the picture of Homer and Bart..))

"Sure it\'s on PS2, but look!  I\'m different!  And better!."  

Instead it just says:

"Look, I\'m a port from PS2, I am a clone, a copy, un-original."

I think it would be cool if xbox did a hologram type thing.  You know, you lean it to the left you see the cover of the game, you lean it to the right and you get a big "X" or something.

Nobody ever said that PS2 created the DVD box.  I don\'t know where you people came up with that.

AlteredBeast understands.  We\'re talking about the "PS2" bar at the top of the box.  Xbox put/copied their bar in the same position.

As Altered said.  The PS bar was put/copied in the same place as the SATURN bar.

Now that I think about it.  IT\'s probably so that stores can use the same style display cases to house the games.  Easily identifying which ones belong to which system.  Probably done that for the consumer too.  Now we know to check that location of the box to see which console it\'s for.

It\'s a design for the lazy sure, but people are lazy, so it works.

Microsoft decides where to put the Xbox symbol.. Just like Sony does with the PS2 brand..

FOX only design the Bart&Homer pic..
I think MS should make another layout..

AB: Those has the same chape.. Not the same look.
SEGA box is white..
PSX box black..

If you look at the PS2 vs Xbox box you can see that MS uses the same type of layout.. I think if they really put their minds to it they could make something that looks much cooler..
