I love literature - since the times of Enid Blyton\'s classic Five ( well, I don\'t know the english name, but just think of any Blyton\'s book ).
I\'ve been reading books since I was 5, but nowadays, I just can\'t find time for them. Sometimes I read trough nights, but I read much less than I used to.
I\'ve read many great books, but I can still list the most emotionally impact books.
Here\'s the list:
J.R.R. Tolkien\'s Lord of the Rings - by far the greatest Fantasy book I\'ve ever read. My fifth time going - it just sucks you up to it\'s world. I recommend to everybody - including those who think they don\'t like fantasy.
Frederick Pohl\'s Gateway - some say this is boring and slow-paced book, but they\'re so wrong. It\'s a psychological trip, and questions is it rightful to sacrifice many for one. Recommend to all sci-fi fans out there.
A.C. Clarke\'s Space Odyssey 2001 - a wonderful book. Masterpiece to say the least. Kubrick\'s film-version of this book was perhaps quite boring, but the book is whole different league.
J. Carcaterra\'s Sleepers - the true story about 4 boys, whom because of innocent prank have to face the coldness of the world. Great book - \'tho the story is... well... Emotionally very touching.
And some more.
