I have owned a PS2 since it was released in the U.S. and I have had no problems with it until now. I checked out a website that had a drawing of the inside of the PS2 that showed how you could change the stuff inside so it will play copies of games. I wasn\'t sure which angle the drawing was at, so I guessed and soddered some of those little metal lines together. Now my PS2 only plays Playstation1 games, (This is OK, I like alot of PSX games and the texture smoothing makes them even better on the PS2)
The problem is that everytime I play a PSX game the PS2 make a loud chirping "Whhuufy" sound and it smokes out of the back. I always turn the volume up when I play, so that takes care of the sound problem, but do you think the smoke might be bad for me? Should I seal off all the vents on the PS2 so it won\'t smoke as much?
I\'m pretty good at doing things myself, but I could use some suggestions.
Thanks.
